Good morning!
I am happy that it is May. Now the boss (SWMBO) will let me start planting veggies. I still need to plow the garden. We have had so much rain that I can't even get the mulch pile moved so that I can plow. I have been getting several things cleaned up in the yard. I took yesterday off because I am feeling the work in my rib, back, and everywhere else. After today, we are supposed to be seeing some actual sunlight for the next several days.
Frankie woke me at 4:00 this morning with an urgent need to go outside.
I have a doctor's appointment this morning with a new to me primary care physician. I really only need to see her today to get renewals on my meds. I am now officially as of today on Medicare. I turn 65 in a couple of weeks.
Bill, I love to see pictures of the Oregon coast. I've been married to Connie now for 35 years. I simply cannot get her to the PNW. I don't know why. I think the most frustrating thing I've encountered with being married to her is that she does not like to travel. We last travelled in 2019. She will do a day trip, but she does not like hotels, and wants to be in her own bed at night. If that is the worst fault that I can find in her, then I can live with that.
Have a great day!

Frankie is quite the early bird…!
Temp dropped to 40 here overnight. Still sunny though. Piano class this morning, then shopping somewhere for cards/gifts for 2 DGSs and a DGD who all make their first communion on Sunday. A triple header—not sure how that happened.
I’m not crazy about traveling, myself. Hate flying, don’t like sitting in a car for long hours. First time I was out of the US —at age 45—was when we drove to the other side of Niagara Falls for an hour, and drove back. I do like camping, especially in wilderness-like settings.
Time for coffee and toast…
Have a good day everyone

Good morning gentlemen.
A beautiful 77-degree bluebird day, today. Rita is planting vegetables. Not sure what I will do. Choir tonight.
Not a big traveler myself. I don't mind flying and don't mind hotels. I just don't get the point. I love where I live and haven't seen everything here, yet. And I hate the hassle of it all. I have to make reservations for a trip with the grandkids in August. Putting it off because I don't like doing it.

I love to travel, DW is a home body.
Started day with my Emmaus group, no other plans for today.
Guess I need to go check on DMIL sometime today.
Tomorrow DW has pre-op at hospital 9:30 - 11:30, then I have to be at rheumatologist 106 miles away by 2:00. Long day.
I want a garden, but doctors and therapist keep saying no.

From 45 degrees up to about 82-84deg today (above 80 anyway). Not at all humid though.
Sending good Ts and Ps for Sam's DW pre-op and then the trek to the rheumatologist.
I have traveled with DW to Mongolia on a dinosaur dig with the museum group, visited the outback of "Never-Never Land" in Australia, whisked her off to Madagascar to see another Dinosaur dig and been to quite a few countries incl the Alhambra in Spain, France etc.
Strange that she is quite content with the idea of staying closer to home these days. She is happy to just go to the coast for a few days or to Seattle where our DS lives.
I actually normally prefer to not be away from home very long, partly due to the garden activities etc.
Stay safe and pain free all!

Good Morning
Heather loves to travel and explore. She gets it from her parents. She loves researching places to go and things to do. One of our Oregon plans is to explore our new home here.
Bank of America reached out on suspicious activity on our Credit Card. Somebody's website security failed and our informatin was comprimised. 2 charges were cancelled so now new Air Jordans for them. We had lots of email from various sites as well which I had to mark as SPAM etc. Pain in the butt. Life in 2025. Heather is out of pain. The muscle relaxor I gave her and a good nights sleep did wonders so no hospital clinic visit needed. Yesterday I putzed around in the garden, watering much of it and checking on things. Just a bit more to do today. Moving the sprinkler I bought around and reaching and bending left me quite sore. I assumed I had tweaked the back despite being careful. Turns out it was "just" a severe arthritis flare up. l was tempted to go back on meloxicam but when the pain woke me up at 3:00, I took some Tylenol ER and that was helped quite a bit. It is always something. More garden time today to finish up and then some work in the house. If Heather is doing OK we will go somewhere to get some walking in. I imagine we will be in the sand somewhere.
