… rise and shine.
50s and warming up for sure today. Amidst sunshine yesterday afternoon we had a shower, seemingly out of a blue sky, and a double rainbow. Came and went quick, and then another one shortly after.
Made a backpacking recipe yesterday—sausage stew with corn, diced tomatoes, spinach, and white beans. Came out delicious. All this nice weather I should be camping, but it's a busy time with family events this year. And it's also blackfly season in the north woods, another consideration…
New piano teacher is not impressing us; of course $5 a lesson is not setting a high bar for a teacher. Gives a 20 minute talk each week on how to play the scale, before we do anything. Might be time to move on… the other side of it is the social interaction. 5 or 6 of the same people have been coming each week for several years.
Hope Sam and DW did alright yesterday.

Good morning!
Yes Mike, you have some choices to make. If the friends are not worth the pain of the lesson, I would be seeing if there are other options available locally. If you have made some good friends, perhaps consider giving each other lessons as a group, and meeting in your homes.
Today is the first of three promised sunny days in a row. I plan to be outside as much as Connie does not want to do something else. Tomorrow might be the day that the kayak gets wet for the first time this season. I have not used my kayak much at all in the last three years.
Prayers continue for Sam, Joanne, and the rest of you dealing with various health issues. I'm hoping that Lee is getting along great with his new knee. Sam, I'm praying that your shoulder heals quickly and that you can do more soon.
Have a great day!

Good morning gentlemen.
DGS soccer game this morning. I'll watch that even though I am feeling a bit off, today. Couldn't get to sleep last night, then woke up at 3:30 and couldn't get back to sleep. In between I got about 4 hours. Just feeling dragged out. DS asked us to go along with them to do some shooting, but I think I'll pass. This feels like a day for a long afternoon nap.

Good Morning
Tough problem you are facing with the Piano group. I do like the idea if your small group as made a connection that you keep going on your own and take turns leading a lesson or working on a piece. At some point you may find a teacher who will then be able to take over and give a group lesson.
The morning wetness eased so we were able to walk down to a small Rhododendron Garden. This town has several walking paths that go through woods etc and you can work your way to this garden or downtown area with a mix of street and pathway walking. Not sure we have much planned today. Tomorrow afternoon we are headed up the coast to do some exploring before heading home for the Warriors game. If I can get the Weber together and working I will fire it up for a tri tip tonight. I keep putting it off.
