    Good morning!

My knee is still really hurting with the sharp pains. I am still hoping it is a major arthritis flare up, or an injury that will heal up soon. Stairs are really painful right now, and I have to use stairs to get in and out of the house.

Connie said that we were not doing anything special with the house for her sister's visit tomorrow. Yet yesterday I found myself helping her clean the oven. Today I have to clean the bathroom, vacuum the house, and dust. I have a few other odd jobs today such as dust the leaves on the big rubber tree. Sigh….

    Prayers for Sam and Joanne.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

    You're up early, Steve. Frankie?

Got through all the medical appointments for the week, yesterday. Had a pleasant evening over at DS' house, sitting around their fire pit.

Not sure what is on tap, today. I have a couple things I am working on in the shop, so I'll play around there. Grocery shopping, too.

On a positive note, yesterday I stepped on the scale for the first time in a week, and I was down 4 lbs. Surprised myself. Back to 170. Just a few more to go.

    Good Morning,

DW on liquid diet today, I had breakfast with Emmaus group this morning.

Dropped prescriptions off that we are required to have before DW's surgery tomorrow, hoping she gets to come home Saturday.

Pablo will be staying at the Lodge tonight and till Monday.

Waiting for delivery of portable oxygen generator for DW that is scheduled to be delivered sometime today.

Need to get groceries for next week.

I'm doing much better, good movement but still cannot lift more than a pound with left arm.

    Good Morning

I neglected to check in yesterday I see. Temps dipped with some moisture coming thru yesterday but things will be clear for a few days. I am 2 days back on Meloxicam. and the difference is night and day. Swollen joints have calmed and I am moving better and steadier. When I went on it 10 years ago for my back arthritis and related issues I remember the Dr telling me it had the least risk of harmful side effects, but there were still risks. But my kidneys are relatively fine and will be checked every 6 mos anyway if necessary. My son is hoping to surprise his Mom by coming up for Mothers day if he has a good week at work. I am waiting to here if he is going to be able to come. Prayers for Sam, Joanne and the medical team. May peace and healing love rest on their household.

Thought I had checked in, but it disappeared…. Had piano class this morning —new teacher is now in the hospital with a broken leg. That’s two. Egad. The group met up though and played some of the music we’re working on.

Good luck to DW, Sam. Steve, ouch with the knee. Hope it goes away, but good to have checked if lingers.

Heard yesterday our Bible study friend is very near death and received last rites. Nice lady…

I did an enjoyable hike yesterday afternoon, 3 miles and 500’. Came upon a porcupine in the trail, 20 feet away; watched him shuffle off into the bushes and sneak behind a tree. Saw a redstart and heard hoot owls as well. Spring foliage and early wildflowers now abound.

Bill, hope your aches and pains are eased a bit.

    Afternoon gents.

Dog training this am. Grocery shopping on the way home, then stopped by DMV to get duplicate registrations and stickers for my boats that I some how lost. Probably got thrown out with junk mail when sorting. Anyway, you can't just walk in anymore, it is all by appointment and the first appointment is June 3rd. GRRRR! Thank you COVID. Online is impossible, it won't accept my info even though I am logged in. Need to hire a computer nerd/hacker. Finally find a form I can print and fill out and send with more $$$. Yeesh.

I just wanna go fishing and be legal. Not sure why they make it so difficult to renew and replace registrations for boats.

Meloxicam just didn't work well for me. I wish it did. Easier to obtain than celecoxib and less expensive. Interesting that your doc says it has the least side effects. I feel like I have seen more upper GI bleeding in dogs on meloxicam than any other prescription nsaid, and it will fry a cat's kidneys in no time.

Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevation (RICE). And maybe the non steroidal anti inflammatory of your choice for that knee, Steve.

    Prayers for Joanne!

    Onward and downward ;-)
