    Good morning!

Frankie decided that 4:00 would be a good time to go outside and pee this morning. Sigh… I fell asleep in my chair at 8:30 last night. We spent most of the day with Connie's sister yesterday, and I ended up driving over 100 miles ferrying her around. It was good to see her.

Today, we(I) hope to purchase tomato plants this morning. At 1:30 this afternoon, we are supposed to go over to Connie's older brother's house (her younger brother also lives in FL.) This will be one of the first family gatherings since my DMIL past a few years ago. It will be good to catch up with the larger family. Connie's sister will be there, and it will also be a Mother's Day celebration. We will do our own Mother's Day with Connie tomorrow. I don't know yet what Connie wants to do on Sunday. Hopefully, it involves a lot of rest and then dinner out. The stress of Connie's sister being her has made her very cranky. I am rolling with it and trying to be patient. Next week will be sunny and warm all week. I'll get some recreation time in then.

Prayers for our group here and the various aches and pains and healing that is going on.

My knee did better yesterday, but is hurting more again today.

    Have a great day!

    'Morning, men.

Family get togethers can be good. My dad always told me to stay in touch with my brothers as we got older, not as some families do and drift apart. It's a help as you go through life.

In Mass. we have a pretty efficient DMV, but you can also go to a AAA office if you are a member and do all the things you need. I once had to register my canoe, because I had gotten a trolling motor for $10 at a yard sale, making the canoe a motor vehicle (who knew?). Canoe was free, but DMV wanted to collect sales tax on the canoe! I had to go get a notarized affidavit saying how the canoe was free and of no value. (It was left with a TAKE ME note, broken down on a lake shore, rotten gunwales, cracked hull, ripped wicker seats; I grabbed it and restored it.) Still cost me $165 to register it.

More rain this morning; 45º. Rained all day yesterday and all night. Glad I don't have to mow a lawn.

    Time for some coffee…

    Good morning gentlemen.

See, you guys are giving me a lot of reasons to not get a boat.

Cooler day, today, but that's OK, as we have nothing outdoors on the agenda.

Hope all is well with Sam and Joanne.

    Good Morning

Continuing to hold Joanne & Sam close in prayer.

Not much planned today. We went for a walk after doing some chores around here. I aggravated my back by vacuuming. If I reach to far and to fast it causes issues. Same with mopping. Combined with bending to fold some laundry it tightened up. Walking can often help loosen it but not yesterday. I left Heather and turned back to the car and picked her up where the trail crosses a street. A muscle relaxor worked its magic and now I feel fine today. I may actually restart my motion and flexibility workouts again today. Eventually I do get it together. Mother's day will be at the local Tea Room which just reopened under new owners and is doing a big Mother's day thing. I was able to get a reservation. My oldest was going to drive up from SF to surprise his Mom, but wrote to say he couldn't afford to take the time off. He was just here last month so I understand. Heather would have been over the moon when he showed up unannounced.

Temps are cooling and wind is still gusting as some rain draws near. I think the name for Oregon must come from the local Indigenous Peoples from their word for "Dress in Layers Place"
