    Mornin'…

Rainstorms last night and now sunny and a cool breeze. DD came over with some homemade chicken soup, with chunks of roasted chicken thighs in it. Delicious. DD is having trouble adjusting to her job, plus not making enough to make ends meet.

Church later. Hopefully will get out for another good walk. We have a nice park loaded with rhododendrons, azaleas and mountain laurel. Nice waterfalls, covered bridge and a lake, too. Stuff is only starting to bloom there, though.

Good to see Sam starting off the roll-call. Hope things are going okay for him and DW after her surgery..

Flu/virus still hanging on; I'm off to put my head in a bowl of steam and snort more salt water.

    Have a good day…

    Good morning gentlemen.

Busy day at church, with an early presentation to attend, I am the lay reader for the service, the choir is singing two anthems, honoring our departing bridge pastor, then a pie social afterwards. I'll attempt to show restraint on the pies.

After that, Rita has some errands for us to run in the afternoon.

    Good morning!

We have been having internet problems here. It seems that someone cut a Spectrum fiber cable on purpose. That is at least what Spectrum said.

Today is Sunday rest day. Storms expected tonight.

Great to see Sam start the thread off.

    Have a great day!

    Good Morning

A Pie Social sounds dangerous. There is something about pie…

We attended our first (& last) Rhody Festival. Our little town is crowded and motorcycles abound along with their noise. The custom car show ended and those cars came downtown to show how loud they can be. We got a fair amount of walking in. I didn't stretch in the AM and my hips were not happy. We enjoyed some of the off-site activities however and today is the Parade which comes down 101 from the schools and into old town. We will either walk or drive partway down the route and watch from there. The tri tip I planned on doing yesterday will be done since we ended up eating the leftover pot pie. Plenty to do around here.

Gosh I hope folks get ticks under control! Hoping Joanne continues to do OK and improve .

We had some "Raining Cats and Dogs" as the message says at the bottom of my Davis Instrument Weather System console yesterday morning. Added up to 0.92 inch so close to an inch then a nice afternoon. PDX got upwards of 1.25" which was some sort of record for the Date etc.

Yup pie could do me in especially Strawberry-Rhubarb or Marionberry etc. Heck even my old homemade apple pie made with Gravenstein and baked in a wood stove oven was amazing too.

Noisy Airshow in nearby Hillsboro Oregon Fri thru today. No big headliners like in the past but still noisy over my house.

    Hope church goes well Dave.

    Get well and painfree all!

    Afternoon gents.

Strawberry rhubarb. Kaluah chocolate chip pecan pie. Mixed berry pie.

Ran the dogs this weekend. No love from the judges. Sometimes I think I need a new game to play.

    Onward and downward ;-)
