    Mornin'

Did another two mile hike yesterday, and feeling like my flu symptoms are now just about all gone. Meanwhile, DD has caught what I had, or something very similar, and feels miserable. Hopefully she'll weather it better than I did. Tomorrow I'm hoping to do some paddling on a river somewhere near.

DS tells me two of his coworkers in the pizza/ sandwich shop — one his age— died suddenly, and another had a stroke. Yikes. I think one wake is today.

Lee, that's a rough job you have sometimes. Hang in there…

We also used to visit family graves on Memorial day and plant some flowers. As kids we looked forward to going back up town after the cemetery and visiting the firehouse, where they handed out free icecream sticks.

    Onward and downward…

    Good morning!

Frankie had me up at 4:30 this morning. Ugh.

It is still raining, although it is supposed to stop around noon today. Then, we will get warmer and see some sunshine.

I'm not sure what else today will bring. I have several things that I can work on.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.
Traffic is back to normal today. Yay! We can drive somewhere without a traffic jam. Limited main routes here lead to problems on most holidays.
I have an appointment this morning to discuss how to handle my share of my mom’s estate. Not my favorite way to spend a pretty spring day.
Weight was back up yesterday. Nose back to the grindstone today.

    Good Morning

Yesterday's plans shifted when an old college roommate, and bridesmaid, of Heather's reached out on Facebook to say they were traveling in the NW and were up in Tillamook and planning on spending the night in Florence. We switched to house cleaning mode, which we put off this weekend and I did got the watering done manually. Then we waited. Finally we went to dinner since we had held that off too. While we were eating Heather heard from her that they were in town eating down the street from us. We are now meeting them for breakfast. We are thinking of having different people call us to say they are going to drop over later that day to put us into uber house tidying cleaning mode. The hip is much better as I spend more time off the cane to get things done. Last day on the corticosteroid too. Today we are determined to walk at the beach and enjoy our beloved ocean and this beautiful weather. If the hip is happy after that I will ditch the cane and start gentle stretching again.

Oh no Mike so sorry your DD is getting sick. Yike so sorry about the deaths of coworkers in the pizza shop .

Holding you and your DW in our thoughts Sam. good luck with physical torture.

Busy busy at the coast Bill. Glad your hip is doing better. We will be in Manzanita (not too too far from Cannon Beach and Tillamook) in mid July for a week. Looking forward to that. Years ago we camped in Honeyman State Park which was fun!

    Hang in there all!
