Sunny and 45º this morning. This week will get into 80s here. Hiked 2 miles yesterday, wildflowers coming out — lady slippers and columbine — and saw a beaver building a new lodge in the swamp the trail goes by. And a heron nest atop a dead tree, heron flying away as soon as I got close.

    Cardiologist checkup today.

More decluttering on the schedule today.

    Have a great day everyone…

    Mornin' gents.

From a weekend in the 40's and then soaring into the 80's. Yeesh.

Got completely soaked Saturday, and although drier on Sunday, it was a bit overcast and chilly. Dogs did not care. Lucy did her job and got 2 qualifying scores. She now has 3 Qs and needs a total of 6 for her Master Hunter title.

Spent the weekend in a motel. Kind of cool retro place, newly renovated. Memory foam bed was pretty comfortable. Smart TV. Not bad at all.

Came home last night and cooked for the week. It was the hardest I worked all weekend.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning!

    Oh, Mike! That's beautiful!

Restful day yesterday. Today will be very busy. I'm taking my car to the shop, treating for ticks in the yard, painting a door, and several other smaller things, including working on clutter like Mike.

I have not been consistent in exercise, and I have not been consistent in controlling eating. I have been consistent in gaining weight. Sigh….

Bill, Sam, it is great to hear that you guys are getting better.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Should be another nice day: 73 and sunny. Maybe I'll wash the car.

I have an appointment with a financial advisor/manager this morning to talk about what I inherited from my mom's estate. Makes me think of a T-shirt I saw that said, "I want to go for a hike and forget about my adult problems."

Need to research getting my laptop fixed, too. Several keys no longer work, including enter and backspace. Makes it hard to log on here.

    Good Morning

We had a great day with our two son's driving up the coast a bit to the aquarium in Newport, which did not disapoint. It was good to be all together. We ended the evening eating pizza watching a Mission Impossible movie my son pulled up to answer his mother's questions about the new film. Jer leaves this morning to head back to the Bay. I seem to be pretty much recovered now. I will restart walking, but hold off on exercise till I see the PT tomorrow to get some feedback on how I hurt the hip and what to do and not do going forward. Only took a few weeks to get into PT. Lots to do around here. Probably spend some time working in the garden. We are having High winds especially in the afternoon so getting out in the morning is good.

Guess I was AWOL Sunday. Yeah Steve also riding a bike make sure the seat is the right height and adjusted nicely fore and aft. With that and E-assist it should be decently easy on the knees. I have seen some local individuals riding kid sized bikes with their knees pumping up and down near their chins. Uhhh not good. I like sitting in the saddle and putting my heels all the ways forward on the pedals. In that position my legs will be pretty straight up and down. then when I move my foot back to where the ball of the foot is nicely on the pedals their is a slight bend in the legs. Works for me with only minor tweaks.

Nice Mike that you have Lady Slipper wild orchids where you live. the most common wild orchid in the PacNW is the Calypso Orchid I guess sometimes called the "Western Fairy-Slipper" which is a very small plant with kinda light purple blooms that grows in old growth timber areas. I have seen them a few times but not like the spectacular display of Lady Slippers I saw biking in North Carolina.

    Luvly ponded picture

I grow a larger hardy orchid in my yard for fun at home.

I need Dave's new T-shirt "I wanna hike and forget my adult problems" or Bike.

CONGRATS LEE on your dog's success getting two Qualifying Scores.
