Good morning!
It turns out we had a wild weather day yesterday. When I last looked, we had 1.84 inches of rain for the day. We also had a rare "in the city" tornado. I don't think it did a lot of damage. It started about 10 miles from us on the Kansas side, and then went right over the stadiums in KCMO. I think the most damage was in Independence, MO, just to the east of KCMO. We had some nasty looking clouds near us.
With all of that, I still had a danged tick on me last night. I'm so tired of this! I need a 48 hour break with no rain to put down the tick treatment for our yard. It has rained 15 out of the last 20 days. So very frustrating. I have to water in the treatment, but they don't want rain on it to wash it away. I think that I will have the chance I'm looking for Friday for several days.
I didn't get anything done yesterday. I'm going for getting several things done today.
Prayers for Joanne.
Have a great day!

Mornin’
55° now, 80° this afternoon. I’ll be getting together with DS after he gets off work around 3, to paddle up nearby river and back, about 4 miles. Glad he agreed to come—likes to just tune out playing online games after making pizzas and subs all day. Will be a nice trip—Always wildlife in there, and in the early evening lots of beavers. Probably mosquitoes, too, if it’s warm out.
Doc’s office called to say my blood levels were too high so he prescribed a second cholesterol med on top of the statin, which he had already doubled after my previous visit in November. Ughhh. Guess I need to sign up for a formal weight loss program and just bite the bullet.
Will get out for a hike now while it’s cool; can’t when it’s 80°.
Prayers for Joanne healing; and some comfort as she deals with difficulties of her surgery.

Good morning gentlemen.
Things took a better turn for me, yesterday. I finished a really nice madrone plate, yesterday morning. That always puts a positive spin on things for me. Then the catalytic converter security covers arrived in the afternoon, while I was taking a nap. I took them out and successfully installed them on the Tacoma. Not a complicated job but involving sliding under the truck and working with tight bolts in a tight space; hard enough to be satisfying when done.
Cooler today - 66 - and there is a bit of light rain this morning. Forecast is for 91 on Sunday, so summer weather is just around the corner.

Good Morning
Nice pun Dave
Good day yesterday. Phone appointment with Fidelity on distribution of Mom's account went well and got my piece of it straightened out. They made a mess of it originally. I made it to PT in the afternoon for my hip which I thought was mostly healed. He did a pretty thorough assessment and found the problem area. That side has always been weaker and tighter being the affected side from my old back issues. But I now have a daily exercise program to slowly build strength and some flexibility. I check back in each week for assesment and modification of the homework. I was pleasantly surprised. Today we are off to the big city to pick up some clothes Heather ordered and run the usual errands there. I might rearrange things so we can walk along the Willamette before we hit Trader Joes for frozen food & Whole Foods. I continue to pray for Joanne. I hope to she feels up to going over to see her son off.

Good grief I hope both Bill and Dave get the estate stuff worked out paperwork and all!!
Wow Steve sounds flooding wet to me. Are ya building an ARK yet?? So sorry about the tick thing!!
Glad ya got the security covers on your catalytic convertors Dave. Yup cooler here too down from 78deg to maybe 68deg today before a heat-up in the 90s on Sunday. Definitely hotter Fri thru Monday I think.
I saw a couple of large furry critters swimming in a ponded area on Tuesday. Sadly they turned out to be Nutria instead of Beavers. It wasn't evening yet.
I too am praying for Joanne to get better and soon.
Hang in there Guys
