Mike, have you ever hike Mt Washington? I understand it is challenging and even dangerous. I was just reading about a 58 yr old hiker found dead on Mt Katahdin in Maine, and his daughter that was him missing. So you are already on a statin and the doc wants you to take another one in combination, or switch you to another one, or just up your dose?
Dog training today.
Hope Sam made it through yesterday's list of places to be.
Hoping Steve drys out a bit.
Glad to hear the hip PT is helping.
Creating beautiful things out of wood has got to be immensely gratifying, and getting parts for truck is icing on the cake.
Nutria are a problematic invasive species, no? I understand they are table fare in certain areas.
Onward and downward ;-)

Good morning!
Rain coming in again tonight. Less than 1/2 inch expected. Then we could be dry for up to a week. May and June are the wettest months in Kansas.
I started to get rid of a bunch of volunteer trees around our yard in mostly in two large evergreens that we have. I got through about 10 cuts with my chainsaw and I threw the chain. I'll fix that this morning and go again.
Congratulations to Sam's DGS joining the Navy. I pray that he stays safe and is successful.
Tomatoes are tall enough now to start needing stakes. Cucumbers are languishing.
have a great day!

Good morning gentlemen.
Always happy to hear of a young person choosing to serve. Pass congratulations along from an old soldier, Sam.
If I made a pun, it was unwittingly.
Rita's tomatoes are about six inches high. Not looking like a great garden year.
The grandkids get dropped off tonight. We'll have them for the next week, while their parents are attending a wedding in New York. That means getting them to and from school and to soccer and piano lessons. Like stepping back in a time machine to 30 years ago.

Good Morning
Well Dave, perhaps all that hiking up mountains is to keep you in shape for running the grandkids around for a week. Sounds like an endurance sport to me.
Another awesome day out there yesterday. 73 in Eugene with an occaisional breeze. We still get amazed by the astounding beauty and are so thankful. Good half day in Eugene but we had to skip our planned walk along the Willamette. Heather was beginning to get achy from her Covid booster the previous evening and by evening was really feeling it with a slight fever. Started my PT work last night. Back at it this morning and then took an offered cancellation opening to go in today and see if I got it right and whatever they have planned. I restarted my music endeavors this week to since I can move better now and sit in the chair comfortably. I have some lessons/workshops Friday and Saturday at another of our Virtual Dulcimer Festivals. I restarted the penny whistle as well as my hammered dulcimer and have workshops in both along with some theory stuff. I try to practice once or twice a day, he says confidently after 3 days. Pray for the family. My first workshop tomorrow morning is at 6:00 am with me hammering away at "Liberty". If you don't hear from me send the police to the house to check on me. As nice as they generally are, when angry Canadian women are a force of nature not to be messed with, especially if you mess with their sleep.

Yes they are trying to make Nutria "table fare" as I understand it in places like Louisiana. We have the same problem with fur breeders bringing them to the NW and turning them loose in Oregon etc. They have become a real nuisance and I wonder if they aren't competing with the beavers for space. I haven't read that they do but they are around much more in the daytime for sure. They claim it tastes between turkey and pork.
Yea I always wonder about the statin thing for me personally. I think there may be some more extensive tests besides the usual HDL and LDL cholesterol levels they can make it more attractive to me.
My tomatoes are doing pretty well and my one Beit Alpha cucumber is growing very well. I also had a wall-o-water type teepee/cylinder around it until a couple of days ago. Hope it is as tasty as the cucumber my daughter gave me from her yard last year.
Good luck with your PT Bill.
cheers everyone.
