  1. Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
  2. Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
  3. Did I keep track of all the calories I ate or drank?
  4. Pass days (3+ is fine if you reach the max)

Support from family, from friends, UAC, compliments, success on the scales, other success, rewards, pure will power, other… Or do you rely on habits rather than motivation - see yesterday's opener.

A very interesting question today. I am not sure except that I know if I fall back to old ways that I tend to get down and very unmotivated for life in general. Happiest when I am following my healthy habits I guess. But UAC and my Monthly running group and Strava and my fitbit and such all help to motivate me as well.

My determination to never put my weight back on and never to go up in dress pants sizes again keep me going. Extant good wholesome foods to keep me well are a good motivator as well.

Trail bike riding today, meditation tracked and logged. 0/3.

    Sunday 6/8

    ✅ - Exercise** 65 minutes, 3.1 miles
    ✅- Tracked
    ✅ - Calories

    1️⃣ - Pass

My motivation does come from seeing success on the scale, clothes fitting better etc, but on the contrary, when those things don’t happen, it’s demotivating. So….I try to simply stay the course and not let one mishap continues for hours/days/weeks.

Health. I despised needing help after I was knocked off my feet.

One of my earliest affirmative statements was "Her prefer to do by self!" LOL - still is!

Great question @Chinkiri I use habits more than motivation because it helps to have a plan of when to fit it in because I get distracted easily. I still like having motivation and find that making it fun is key. Another motivator for consistency is feeling the benefits in my body. (more flexible, stamina, strength, balance, etc.)

Yes x3. HIIT workout and evening walk. 0 pass days.
I find it motivating to see improvements in my strength, mobility, endurance and noticing definition in my muscle and less pain. It’s just motivating to feel better physically which then positively affects my mental health. But habits have to drive my actions when motivation isn’t enough.

It's always been more about health than appearance for me. As I get older, gratitude for the gift of life and wanting to take care of the body God has given me have become more of a motivator. Habits of exercise and tracking and knowing how much and what my body needs are essential. I still struggle with the desire to use food as a coping device for every challenge and difficulty in life which seems to be at war with my positive motivations and habits.

Pass day. 3+ total. Sick today :(

My motivation comes from scale and non scale victories. And also because I like feeling well and want to feel even better.

UAC, success on the scales, other success, pure will powerI rely on both habits and motivation.

Today I had one of those emotional-black-hole-hormonal days that used to make my life hell for half of every month. I had almost forgotten what that felt like. I do not miss that uterus one bit! Hopefully I'll get my mojo back tomorrow.

    No exceptions. No excuses. 🥑

The strongest motivator for me is my clothes fitting comfortably. I become emotionally attached to my clothes, and it is very satisfying when they fit well!

Yes to all three today- posting a day late!
