    Good morning!

Happy anniversary to the love birds Dave & Rita, and to Bill & Heather.

Bill, it sounds like you had a fantastic trip.

Mike, I love to hear about your canoe trips. They sound awesome.

I have thought about getting my kayak wet, but the idea of a bike ride sounds better to me right now. Perhaps later in the season? I think that I'll go on a 10ish mile bike ride this morning.

My car is going to cost $4600 to get fixed next week. We had a quote to fix the front step which has sunk over the years. $1700. We are bleeding out retirement savings.

    Have a great day!

Tis Friday but the only working stiff we have is Lee.

Congratulations Bill and Heather, David and Rita

No appointments today, need to get some stuff done around the house.

Totally relate to bleeding retirement accounts, house needs paint, already replaced HVAC units, and car repairs of nearly $1K thankfully we saved and have it; next month have to start RMD

    Good morning gentlemen.

I am fortunate to be part of the rare few whose retirement is pension based. Our savings is in very good shape, but we also have income. Lowers the stress level a lot.

Grandkids are gone. It is very quiet around the house. Sassy is sad.

Pretty cool today, with a high of 64. Looks like high 60s to low 70s for the next couple weeks. Pretty pleasant, really.

Have an appointment with a financial advisor this morning, to talk about the portfolio I inherited from my mom. Not my area of expertise or interest. I am inclined to just leave it as it is. It did ok for mom. We'll see what he says.

    Mornin' gents.

Lee is playing hooky today in Maine at a field trial with my girls.

I too love hearing about canoe paddling and trail hiking.

Hope Joanne is home resting after all the Dr's stuff this week.

Ate a mini cinnamon bun at the trial site this morning 🤨

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good Morning

I too am blessed with a pension, a remnant of the old Union Carbide days that I was able to stay in until I retired. Between that and SS and no mortgage we have enough for most things and our savings are in good shape with the move to Oregon which is why we did what we did. We had a great trip. Yesterday we headed down toward Salem exploring along the way. We sat in on part of the State Senate session since construction limited how much of the capital building you could see. Interesting stuff. We made it home for a short rest and went out to dinner.
