Tartlet filled with savoury custard setting minced celery and capers. Sides of salad with ranch and Portuguese marinated carrots. I struggled to get the tarts out of the tins.

I first had the Portuguese for the first time on vacation in Spain. Here's the recipe I use.

    Beautiful!

    1000023052.jpg

Sauteed the cabbage slaw from a teriyaki stir fry kit yesterday, had some of it chilled today. Added tuna, brie, apple, craisins & tangerine.

Also added a spoonful of ground flax and a spoonful of nutritional yeast I picked up to try. Like both.

    Today I ate:

    7 baby carrots

    a mini cucumber

    one cherry tomato

    1/2 cup strawberries

    1/2 cup cherries

    spinach paratha

    crystallized lemon in water

Happy with the veggies and fruit count. I'm making progress. Used to eat veggies/fruit maybe 1-2 days a week. Now I'm up to 4-5 days/week. Aiming to make it 7!

    Nice @hildegardvonhubcap

I like to batch saute a pan to keep some in the fridge for salad addins, toppers. Picked up a red & a green cabbage this week, zukes, mushrooms, peppers, onions, baby corn.

How are zuchini blossoms? Raw? Do they taste ok?

    Lunch to go looks fresh!

@yakkystuff - they are actually quite nice raw!

I’d say a light, delicate floral-herbal taste. I remove the stamens from the inside - they can be a lil bitter.

They are a great source of vitamins and antioxidants! They also look lovely on salad!
