Morning BBB

Travel day went as good as it could have. Flight on time, no line at immigration or customs and we didn't have to have our bags searched. Little traffic so we were checked into our little apartment by 3. Had lunch/dinner at the attached restaurant.

Today we will go in search of supplies. We are only at this place for 5 days so don't want to buy too many groceries so I don't have to move them.

I own more today than I did 3 years ago, but still could fit everything I own in the outback (if the bikes are on a rack) With them inside I'd have to make some cuts. We have 3 totes at my dad's, a large suitcase, a pile of skinny clothes, bikes in cases, yoga mats and blocks and a bag of kitchen items in the car. With us we each have a 35liter backpack and I have a small crossbody purse.

I miss mostly nothing. I miss parking in a garage the most. That's super rare in rentals.

Mostly I've learned I need to switch out clothes regularly or I get sad. Ron has the exact setup he retired with. He replaces when worn but same items.

Ah, it's just stuff - but I like my stuff. There are some things I have been forced to get rid of. My personal library used toi have upwards of 5,000 volumes. My DW made me get rid of most of them. Somehow, she didn't think lining every room in the house with bookshelves was a good decorating theme. But I have a lot of other things that rarely get used, but I take comfort from their presence. When I'm gone, the kids can figure it all out. Won't be my problem.

Labor Day, so I will be laboring. Need to mow the lawn and finish a couple projects in the shop.
