I’m sorry was super busy Friday and forgot to weigh myself Friday morning and slipped my mind Saturday. this morning I am:

    CW: 193.4

    PW 192.6

the beginning of the week I was lazy to track my calories but I will be back on track this week. Whenever I am on vacation or just finish up vacation it throws me off.

My goal is to be under 190 by October. I’d love to hit 180s for my cousins wedding at the end of October. This month I guess if I can be around 191 or 190 I’d be good with that. My husband and I are going to do an ab challenge from YouTube by Lily Sabrani (?) and 7 day challenge by Lucy Wyndham Reed. Hopefully those shape our midsection!

@minstrelofsarcasm I hear you on the weigh ins. I actually weigh in everyday and average across. Because if I didnt do that and only did weekly, I would be so disappointed in weeks like this. I worked this week, but the above does not reflect that. And the why is pretty simple- AF visited this week and I usually gain 2-4 lbs during that time. And this week was no different. I was up to 171 at one point this week when I was at the height of bloating. I was really worried that Id have to report an increase but was able to squeak by with basically the same weight as last week.

The good thing is though, that by next weigh in, I should have a decent decrease as my hormones adjust again.

    Weigh In Day: Monday

    PW (Previous Weight): 214

    CW (Current Weight): 213.6

Went to my boyfriends condo this weekend so I wasn't as active. On Saturday, we did get uo at 7am and had to help his best friend move so that was my main physical activity for the weekend. Yesterday I had home made lasagna at his friend's mom's house and saturday we had Chinese. Im trying to make myself start walking every morning. Oh also I had a huge craving for pineapple so I did eat that.

I feel like I did great with my diet this past week. I've tried to incorporate more plant-based proteins (yay extra fiber), and I'm feeling good. I also meal prepped some absolute bangers for my lunches this week. Had a travel day to visit family on Saturday so spent a lot of time sitting in a car and not getting steps in but made up for it on Sunday. Physio has been helping my foot and ankle, so I'm hoping to get back to being more active with the steps.

I have been getting on the treadmill in the mornings. I would love to go for a walk outside but I’m afraid with my back and leg still bothering me that I might not make it and have to call for a ride. I’m sore my husband doesn’t want to leave work to come pick me up. Yesterday I cut up strawberries, veggies and made chicken in the crockpot, this way I have stuff i can just grab and chicken is ready to throw on top of things.

@JenSamuel94 - Love that! Losing bloat is such a great feeling, I always forget how much impact the little differences can make.

    Weigh in day Saturday

    Previous weight 180.5 lbs

    Current weight 180.5 lbs

No change for me this week. I have been quite stressed at work so although my meals have been balanced, I have been snacking on chocolate more than I should.

On the positive side I have followed my strength training plan well and been lifting heavier at the gym. I have also been running longer distances (9km done on Thursday chatting with a friend, we had planned a short run but didn't realise how far we had gone) I need to get back to doing morning yoga.

@JenSamuel94 well done on your ab challenge results

I thought I would have some sort of weight loss. I have walked 6 days, added in fruits, veggies or salad to my meals. I have been drinking more water. I just feel bigger. I can also tell in my clothes, some changes better start happening quick because I am not buying bigger clothes lol.

Not a week for weight loss. I had some obligations to attend to last week, and I was fairly busy over the weekend because I had to stay with my grandmother who's got an injured back and help her out, so I wasn't very intentional about my food choices. Oh well, just a small gain, I want to get back on the track this week.

I plan to meal prep some things for lunches & snacks for the rest of the week, so that I have some good options available, and avoid snacking too much.

@jennyell85 - A single pound after a busy week like that is impressive. I know when I have a week where I need to attend to life, I come out of it bloated and sleep-deprived, easily a few pounds heavier.

@minstrelofsarcasm That's a good way to look at it, thanks for that perspective.

I wish it wasn't such a struggle sometimes to keep those healthy habits, but I'm trying my best. I think the ol' seasonal depression is starting up too. I live in Canada so it's already starting to get dark earlier and I'm craving certain foods more than usual.

  • minstrelofsarcasm

@jennyell85 - 100% relatable. I live in Ohio and the colder gloomy days have started appearing at a higher frequency. It's going to be tough to hold onto the progress I made over the summer when it was easy to reach for a crisp fruit over a big bowl of salty carbs (popcorn/pretzels/take your pick).

One trick that has worked for me over the years is keeping a large supply of tea available, so if I'm craving something sweet and warm, I can just heat up the kettle and make a cup. The good news about the cold is that our bodies tend to burn more calories in the winter just to keep us warm, so we have a little more wiggle room than we think (but just a little!). What's your hardest food craving to combat?
