    Thanks for the well wishes for bil. He got his temporary prosthetic yesterday. He and my sis were going to dinner with a group and he's going to WALK in. He's was pretty excited. He can only wear it for a few minutes at a time now because he has a cyst on that leg. It really never ends with him.

    Helped. my sis at her house. I swept and mopped ONLY took me over 2 hours just to do the main floor. HUGE HOUSE.

    Steph, sounds like gorgeous weather you're having. Best wishes for Ron and his tooth.

    Great news about Charlotte.

    I'll be done early today. WOOT.

    So for $43.68 US you rented a car, Steph? More than reasonable.

    $300 US doesn't sound like it would buy the kind of office chair that would work for you, Skip.

    Glad to hear some positive progress for DBIL. Hoping things continue to trend positively.

    Office move is really consuming most of my time. And with the shutdown, who knows what's next. My last day as a Fed is this Saturday (10/4/25). I loathe that my career ended like this (and for 1000's of other loyal federal workers)! 🤬

    Lee - Its actually much cheaper. I toyed with bringing my home office chair to the office, but nope. Settled on a "gaming" chair from Walmart that has adjustable lumbar support.

    Glad our Flag Officers and Senior Enlisted got through yesterday SAFELY!

    Morning.

    The rental car is about $25 USD a day. Plus $250 deposit I'm happy with that price. It poured rain all morning so we just went for a small drive in the afternoon to figure out buttons etc. It's pretty bare bones but has a nice backup camera.

    Today Ron will drive to his massage and I'm walking the other direction to the farmers market and to meet a friend for coffee. Spanish lessons this afternoon and meeting the real estate agent at 4:30 to get the keys and check in info. We will likely spend the night there then back to condo tomorrow after dentist. It's only about 7 miles away but with only one main road through town it gets pretty backed up at certain times of day.

    Hoping The government shutdown doesn't affect any of you too much.

    I wasn't able to get on the mfp community since Monday. Saw they were having issues with some android app users.

    I arrived at the lake at 10a. Saw a friend at her place this afternoon. Stopped for fruit, milk, cereal and now watching evening news. About ready to turn it off. I have a book to finish in next 2 weeks.

    80F and sunny here rest of week, beautiful!
