    Rise and shine.

Visit to piano teacher was pleasant. He's sharp as a tack mentally, knew all of us, told stories, even described how his fall occurred and the subsequent brain surgery they had to do. Physically he's in a wheel chair and can only stand briefly, and not walk. Has goals of getting back to teaching a few classes, but is very frustrated that he's not getting physical therapy there. On our way home we stopped for lunch. Found out one of the women in our group was "Miss International", half a century ago.

Cold morning as a nice sunrise is developing. Nice to have early light again, but we get short changed in the afternoon.

    Time to make breakfast…

    Good morning!

Mike, that sounds like a nice day. I'm glad that you got to see your piano teacher again.

Yesterday, I felt like carp. Today seems to be about the same. We are in a really low, low pressure weather, and every joint in my body hurts. I also have this pounding headache. Today will be about sitting and resting, I'm afraid. I have a lot that I want to do, but I think it can wait.

On a good news front, I got the results of my blood test back. Everything is normal except for my cholesterol. I'm thinking I'm going to have to be strong to help take care of my falling apart wife.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

It was supposed to be dry today, but I took Sassy out and it was raining. Sigh. The forecast now says it will be dry later. Right. One of these days I need enough dry weather to start attacking the leaves that are covering our yard.

Eight days left until the annual holiday bazaar when I sell some of my wood turnings. Rita and I need to start laying everything out and putting prices on them. I also need to buff some of them up. "Shine sells," is an old saying among woodturners.

    Tis Frydee!

Get feeling better Steve. being a caretaker is not easy especially when patient does not want what's best for them; which you already understand trying to adjust diet.

It is always interesting learning about folks.

How's pups, hope Lee has a super offer.

Dave, do you have all your turnings ready for holiday sale?

Today is nice before light rain comes in tomorrow then very cold temps Monday.

A glimpse of Wednesday’s paddling adventure. Must’ve encountered a dozen dams and as many blowdowns we had to duck under or go around.

    Good Morning

Beavers are remarkable! The picture is one of serenity.

The storms have passed and the sun is out. We have a nice stretch ahead till midweek. We will try to tend the yard in bits over these days. The old lawn has enjoyed the rain and is trying to pop up hear and there throught the fabric and woodchips. We have some cleanup to do. I don't do well on my hands and knees for too long to small spurts. I am looking forward to being outside

So glad Mike that your piano teacher is still sharp mentally and praying for some more PT to help him out.Beautiful pict Mike even if it means more work for you paddling adventure.

Sorry you aren't feeling better Steve but glad most of your blood tests are good. Hard being a caregiver. I am not great at that myself.

Like Dave we had an unexpected shower or two early but is clearing up now.

Like Bill I think the weather will be nice until midweek starting now.

Looking forward to seeing my son and daughter in law from Seattle tomorrow for yet another B-day celebration. We are doing a luncheon cruise on the Willamette river. Will also have brunch w them on Sunday which is my actual 80th B-day date.

    Cheers
