Good Morning!
I had a restless night's sleep. My arthritis is really flaring up. The hot tub is really not helping either. I won't be exercising. My left knee is hurting quite a bit. I do need to go to the grocery store (Walmart) this morning, so I'll still get some walking in. How do you know when to start thinking about having a knee replaced? My chiropractor is not offering any advice on that at all.
Connie will be calling today to see if she can get an earlier cardiologist appointment. Doctor suggested that. The doctor wants Connie to see the specialist, but her doctor also said that Connie can wait until December 4, unless she gets tightness in the chest that last more than just a minute.
Lots of household chores going on today. I also need to pull the dead flowers out of the cemetery flower bed that Connie maintains. I mowed the yard a few days ago, and it looked pretty good. Now a lot more leaves have fallen. The leaves are almost finished, but not completely. We are expecting rain (finally) on Thursday. I'll mulch in the leaves with another mowing this coming weekend.
Have a great day!

Mornin'
Cold morning, overcast and windy. Feels like it's 14º according to my phone, but will "warm up" to 21º by noon.
Decided to do some hand weights and on a regular basis, every other day. Will mark it on calendar. I think my car battery is ready for its replacement, still turning over slowly in the morning. Can't remember when I got it and can't find the receipt.
Steve, praying Connie's heart issues get resolved (along with her other health stuff). And Sam, praying for DW's recovery from those treatments.
With the cold weather and indoor heating, air humidity changes, so wooden piano parts shift and it will be time to tune my piano again. Still an all day job for me; I am told that after I have done 100 tunings I'll start to get the hang of it. Apprentices in piano factories used to train for 6 years before they go out on their own as tuners.
Dave, if you have pictures of your craft fair stuff, I'd love to see them.
Have a good day everyone.

Mornin' gents.
I would say go see the orthopedic surgeon now and see what he recommends, Steve. After having both of my done, I would recommend sooner rather than later.
Triple vet visit with puppies was really good. Both my associate and prospective puppy buying vet were impressed with the facility and the couple who own and manage the place. It made me feel good since the couple are good friends. Then Babe and I went and found a couple of rooster pheasant in a light snow storm. Then my pheasant split pea soup that required lots of chopping and dicing came together very nicely. I ate 3 bowl fulls. No room for my usual nonfat greek yogurt and mixed berry dessert.
Sadly, septic and well did not pass inspection. The septic was no surprise, but the well problem was unexpected. Oh well, we have a discussion scheduled today on how to work it out with the buyer.
Onward and downward ;-)

Good morning gentlemen.
My right knee was really bad a few years after retiring from active duty. I wore a heavy brace and the doc talked of surgery. Then I lost a lot of weight (60 lbs.) and walked through the pain. With a lot of trail miles it got better. Now my knee rarely hurts. You need to see an actual doctor, though, Steve.
I have to drop Sassy off at the pet lodge this morning, then we leave for the airport around 11. Our flight will arrive in Las Vegas a little before 6. I hate airports, but a necessary evil.

Good Morning
I agree Steve, go see an Ortho so you can get a full diagnosis on that knee and know your options. Mine was bone on bone but responded well to annual Synvisc injections and cessation of running and any high impact activity. When that stopped working, I opted for the surgery. I wish I had gone a few years earlier. But it starts with getting a good picture of what is happening in that knee.
Nothing planned for today beyond studying and doing some cleanup. TriTip tonight since there was a sale.

Sorry about your arthritis flare-up Steve. Good luck with sorting it all out. I too have found that Docs and other health care personnel bend over backwards to not give you their opinionated advice on what to do. Can't even really get a "second opinion" anymore from most.
"The doctor wants Connie to see the specialist, but her doctor also said that Connie can wait until December 4, unless she gets tightness in the chest that last more than just a minute." It's like really????
I am sure Dave is reading himself to go to the airport soon for his trip to Lost Wages uhhhh Las Vegas.
Unlike Mike I "winged it" one time in tuning an old old piano. I got several octaves mostly in tempered tuning with the same frequency for duplicated strings per note. Note great but playable. Very amateur.
I like Bill did ok with a Synvisc shot on my knee. I have had both regular Synvisc and Synvisc One which is a bigger dose. So far no surgery and the last referral with an Orthopod was turned down by the Doc just before my visit. Like Dave my knee is doing mostly OK.
cheers all

Very seldom will a chiropractor recommend medical doctors for anything, they are taught in school that if the spine is in alignment and adjusted properly the body will heal itself. I agree to a point, but after many years of arthritis as well as leading yoga for many years there are times, one must look further. I recommend getting replacements when first discussed, why put it off and deal with pain.
Hate having to pay for improvements that has work for me for years and do not add value to appraisal.
