Another chilly morning, 28º. Got out yesterday for another hike, despite the cold wind on and off. Not another a soul on the trail — a loop trail through the forest. I seem to generally feel better after getting out and doing a hike, and it lasts into the next day or few.

Bible study this morning; I think I might just quit going altogether if I can't get my self control working on the baked goods they always bring. The people have become friends somewhat, but I need to just cut out sweets altogether or it's a slippery slope down, (or maybe up weightwise.) Maybe I'll give it a month or two and see how it goes.

My brother (80) has a bad knee, saw a surgeon, and was told it's arthritis we can't do anything for you, take a pill and tough it out. I hope he gets another opinion.

Lee, hope the house situation slides through okay. DD & SIL had to dig a new well when they bought their house, in spite of previous owners had no problem with old one—a code thing I think. Always something.

    Onward and downward?

Speaking of onward and downward, DD sent me this house for sale on Cape Cod… only $99,000! Ad says it needs new septic and well… (and maybe a guardrail?)

    Good morning!

    Hold out for Maine, Mike.

It is 50 here this morning, headed for a high of 60. I will do another mowing today or tomorrow as rain finally moves in on Thursday. They are predicting an Artic front to come in right after Thanksgiving.

Yesterday, I was pulling the dead flowers from the flower bed that Connie maintains at the cemetery. She wanted to come with me. All she did was hold the bag open for me to put the flowers in. It took us about 15 minutes. She said she had chest tightness after that which lasted about an hour. I am praying that they can get resolution to this sooner, rather than later. December 4 seems like a long ways away, but actually, it is not in terms of how doctor appointments work.

I have a lot on my plate today including mowing leaves again (today or tomorrow), cleaning bathrooms, dusting, and vacuum. I am still finding time to play Forge of Empires on the computer, and work on my paint by number, which I am finding to be very relaxing.

I have my annual physical next Monday. I will talk with the doc about my knee then. I got up about 1:00 this morning and took a Tylenol. I plan to hit the hot tub in about half an hour.

    Have a great day!

Next time Connie has chest pain lasting more than a couple of minutes go to ER, directly to ER; they will get a cardiologist to see what is going on.

Mike, house looks as it needs some stabilizing of ground in front, could be several hundred thousand.

    Good morning gentlemen.

Agree with Sam, Steve. If Connie feels tightness in chest, head to the ER. As to your knee, I am all about seeing doctors. I was taught as a child that chiropractor and quack are synonymous. I have never seen anything to change my mind.

Yesterday's trip was rough. The plane was delayed an hour at the gate, then was delayed by a slowdown at the airport in Las Vegas, so we sat on the taxiway in Seattle for 90 minutes before taking off. We got to our hotel at 8, to find that our suite had fresh towels and the bed made and nothing else was cleaned. There were socks on the floor, leftover food and drink all over the kitchen … just a mess. We waited an hour for a housekeeper to come; she was aghast and very apologetic. The hotel gave us an additional $200 credit for food and drink, so that's something.

There is a 92 percent chance of rain, here, today, with a high of 52, so we'll be doing our walking inside, I think. Wish me luck.

Chilly here too down to 34deg with probably a little faint frost on rooftops and wetland trails so I skipped going on them first thing this a.m.

Gosh Mike house is nice until that portion of the cliff chunks off. Who knows when? In the short term?? or 500 years from now. Gosh your brothers Ortho guy sounds a lot like the last guy I booked with. I would have benefited from a Synvisc shot but still doing .

Eye Doc was talking about my taking tylenol for my next eye BX of conjunctiva and superficial surface removal of some corneal epithelium (superficial keratectomy). Last time I had it done albeit a much larger area of 5 mm by 8 mm,I had a double amniotic membrane patch put on top of the area plus a soft contact lens and more. They had prescribed ahead of time some percocet . I really don't want to call them in the middle of the night when the pharmacies are closed anyway if I am in too much pain so I will ask if they couldn't at least prescribe a small amount of low dose percocet for me. Seems like dentists have gone the same route too. Honestly a few tablets of percocet for a day or two wont kill ya. Pleeeez.

Gosh Dave that sound terrible. Not shocked at airport delays as things are slowly getting back to more normal but wow the hotel should do soooo much better than that.

    Good luck indoors Dave!!

Continue praying for Connie and her heart condition. Hang in there for sure.

    Good Morning

What a relaxing way to start a short trip to Vegas topped off with the lovely room surprise. Hopefully Rita will have a good run and get compensated that way.

Cool but calm here. We said hello to the river and ocean yesterday for a bit and enjoyed the sunset. It was a fairly clear night. Today is our movie day. We will enjoy “Inherit The Wind” and perhaps a late lunch.
