Up at 4:30 for no reason. Paddling today with a friend, despite the fact it's 25º out now. Should warm up to 40º, sunny and calm. Heading for Tully River and Lake, an hour away. Besides the paddling there's trails leading to waterfalls, although they might be petered out from our long term lack of rain.
That house I posted— which is gorgeous inside and otherwise in great shape — overlooks the Atlantic, 100" down. The cliffs around there have been eroding a few feet or more every year, so it's on borrowed time. The view is nonetheless spectacular, and maybe if I was an eccentric billionaire…
Dave, good luck there in LV. Steve, praying for Connie. Sam, I was glad to hear DW starting to feel a little better. (That's one tough lady you have there… )

Mornin' gents.
Yeah, that house is living on borrowed time, I suspect. Keep looking, Mike.
I know a trip to the ER is a real pain in the keester, but I agree, if Connie experiences tightness in her chest again, get her to the ER.
Muddling through my last weeks at the practice. Surgery is busy and good, but running appointments is tough, since the email went out that I am leaving. Lots of love and well wishes, but it sure makes staying on time difficult.
Waiting until they are 7 weeks to make my pick. They were 5 weeks yesterday. There are a couple of front runners.
Onward and downward ;-)

Good morning!
Lee, the puppies are soooo cute! I hope that your remaining time in CT flies by quickly and that you can rejoin your family in CO.
Connie's heart issues do worry me. It seems as if she has just been falling apart since summer when she got the CKD diagnosis. Yesterday she did a little light plant watering (inside) and got a little chest tightening. She carefully described it as noticeable, but not long lasting, and not making it hard to breathe. I suggested going to the emergency room, and I think that thought just scares her too much. Her mom had congestive heart failure, and that scares Connie. She promised me that if it is more than just a little tightness, then we would go the ER. I have taken almost everything from her that requires any lifting or bending at all. About the only thing she has left is going down the hall to the bathroom. I'm OK with that. If the doc or cardiologist says she needs to exercise, then we'll revisit. I also have a treadmill, stationary bike, and free weights that she can use if she gets an OK. She has not been going with Frankie and I in the afternoon for our short walk at the cemetery. We still make an occasional short trip to a store for her to wonder around in. Those trips don't seem to bother her, and she is not standing more than about 15-20 minutes. I either park close to the door, or drop her off and pick her up. She likes to go to Lowes to look at plants, or to Kohl's to touch a few clothes.
Today is going to be more or less a rest day for me. Burgers on the grill tonight as it is still supposed to be about 60 today. They are promising a polar vortex right after Thanksgiving.
Have a great day!

Good morning gentlemen.
Stay strong, Steve. I know Connie is leaning on you. Prayers for you both.
Had a beautiful rainbow to the southwest of us a bit ago. Of course, that was because there is a rainstorm headed our way. At least they have lifted the flashflood warning. Welcome to desert Las Vegas.
We eat two meals a day, when we are here: generally, a late morning buffet, then supper at a restaurant. I overindulge. Always interesting to see the results on the scale when we get home.
If you lived closer, Lee, I might be talking to you about getting Sassy a little brother. Too cute.

Good Morning
Prayers continue for Connie & Steve. I have to wonder if the stress of her health is causing some of the problems. May she know peace.
Lee, 2nd dog from the left gets my vote.
We are having winter temps here these days low 50's in the day and mid 30's at night. Time to adjust. Today we are headed to Eugene with lots of errands to run. In the Winter, we try to get back on the road by 3:30 in the afternoon so we are through the winding road before dark.

Aw Lee the puppies are just soooooooooooo cute!!!
Sending lots of Ts and Ps to Connie and Steve. Can't imagine all you are going through.
As Dave says violent storms and flash flooding albeit usually short lived can ravage the Desert around Vegas. We went thru the area maybe 45 min to an hour after a violent storm and there was some flooding and a bent billboard too.
Bill: have nice trip to Eugene. Yea I don't like driving into direct sunlight or in the dark much either. Very sorry about the beached whale in Yachats. Sad indeed.
Off for another conjunctival biopsy in the left eye and some superficial keratectomy tomorro late morning so may or may not check in.
cheers
