Floridians, "Autumn" and "Winter"

This might be a question mostly geared toward south Floridians, but if it applies to you, please feel free to reply

I feel like the only way I know it's Fall/Autumn here is when Starbucks & Dunkin Donuts advertise pumpkin spice lattes. And it's winter when all the roads are clogged with little old men and women who have New York accents.

What makes you feel like it's fall or winter in a state with 2 seasons (Dead of Summer and Mild Summer)?

Now that I am in nofla, the air here is so crisp! Also, the sunsets are like nothing I have seen in sofla. The leaves here also change colors! Apparantly the north Floridians really have it!

Publix gets a lot more crowded and it's harder to find a disabled parking space when I'm out with my daughter (she uses a wheelchair).
  • cool, crisp breezes in N FL, and then warm and toasty in the afternoon! Also leaves change color a little bit -

I went to Walgreens in the middle of the day. I almost got into an accident 3 times in the parking lot, all with elderly drivers. That, means it's winter.

Hahahahaha! Sometimes I feel I'm the only true Dolphins fan, rooting for a win instead of trying to "Suck for Luck"

When the lines at the Disney and Universal are short...and

When you go to the beach, and you see no black people..LMAO

And. How. I'm in NFL (as in North Florida...lol) and they expected me to give up my Phins card just because of the Jags. Not happenin'. You're a true fan when you're a fan when they suck!

Sadly, I've been working on Christmas advertising for two months, so when it finally happens - I'm surprised because I've moved on to Valentine's day campaigns! :)

I'm in Central Florida, and we made our first fire of the year in the fireplace last night. I like to think our house has two seasons: pool season and fireplace season. I love the change

Well, Beverly Hills is OLD Yankee transplant central. My car insurance actually went up when we moved here from Gainesville, and we figured it has to do with the amount of retirees and their evil grandchildren that live and drive here. There is also a HUGE trend for northerners to send their kids to live with Grandma and Grandpa in this district for hopes of getting the Bright Futures scholarship. Surrounded by them, I am!!!

Whenever I think I am homesick for New York I can just head to the community pool and hear all the oldies tawkin fah-evah about their grandkids and taxes. Cures the feeling of missing the north immediately!

I long to live further south where I would NEVER need to wear closed toe shoes! It got really cold last night -- we actually turned the heat on! I could live with out that!

I know its autumn when there are more pale people around. Also when its in the low 70s and people are in shorts and flip flops!

It was 23 degrees here Saturday morning.

It's fall! (Though it's going to be 80 today ...)
