Training Plans for Half

What training plans do you guys use for a half marathon? I'm doing my first half in March, 16 weeks from now. I have looked at a few free training plans for beginners, but I have a solid base (did my first 10K last weekend in 1:01) and mentally I need to run 13.1 miles before the race and none of them actually run that far before the race. Any plans that start at 15ish miles per week and actually run the full distance before race day? Thanks!

Since you have a solid base, look into the Furman Institute, FIRST program. It values quality over volume and will probably be pretty intense, but generally has good results.

They are also quite responsive and helpful; I emailed with questions & asked for a specific plan from their e-book and they answered all my questions and send the plan to me. Hope this helps.

I looked at a lot of plans for my half in February and finally settled on the Runkeeper plan - check out

It's 16 weeks long, and has two 14 mile runs in there (or are they 13.... long anyway). I'm up to week four and so far so good.
There is a cost to download them to your phone but if you don't use Runkeeper or don't want to pay, then you can just check out the training program online and follow it for free.

I like Runner's World Smartcoach. There's an iPhone app that's free and I've used it for my first 10k and first half. Planning to keep using it!!!
I also recently downloaded Adidas MiCoach, but I'm not sure I'm going to like that one as well. I also use RunKeeper, but haven't invested in the classes, mainly because I hate paying for apps!!!!!0 -
Hal Higdon is my favorite. I just count my weeks backwards from where to start.0

I second the HH training program. I have used it for a 15k and a half marathon that I will be in 11 days. He offers different levels and you find the plan that works best for you!0
