Burqa Ban

France recently implemented a "Burqa ban" law and other Islamic face coverings in public places. Their base for creating this law
was "The French Republic lives in a bare-headed fashion", among others.
While some women in the U.S. see the burqa as a sign of oppression others logically tie it to religion.
Should the U.S. follow suit and create a similar law?
((Personally, I don't care what women want to wear, but if it were to create some sort of security issue, then I would maybe think otherwise.))

As far as I understand they're not very strict with enforcing it. Also, it's not specific to burqas but all face coverings, I believe this affects other religions as well.
Not sure if it's going to have the intended effect.. When freedoms are trumped, it pops up in other areas of public life for everyone0 -
I don't think they should ban it, unless, like you said, it's a security issue. I don't think we could ban it here in the US, since it is considered a religious practice.0

The only time I think they should have to remove their coverings is for drivers license photos and security checks.0

I don't really care what they wear, however at the DMV if you want a drivers license, I say you must take the picture and all other ID photos without anything covering your face, otherwise you shouldn't be able to get these ID's.0
