So I've heard from many people playing the game that it's probably the best RPG to date they have played. What are your thoughts? Think it is the best RPG yet?

[It did receive a 95 % metascore on steam]

I haven't played it enough to make a judgment yet as far as whether it's the "best," but it is pretty slick. I think it's easily going to crack my top 3.

Yes. I think when it's all said and done it will probably be one of the best games of all time period. It will certainly be at the top of the list somewhere as far as RPG's go. It's well done and it's massive......seriously......MASSIVE. I've played for like two days straight and I haven't even begun to scratch the surface of this game.

I'm thinking this may replace Oblivion as my favorite RPG. The controls were a bit odd and annoying at first (I play on pc, so I like to click on options), but I got used to it. Like a poster above said, I've been playing for days as well and have barely been anywhere. I'm also loving the dungeons so much more than Oblivion (I do realize there were more people working on the dungeons this time around). I never know what to expect when entering one. Skyrim is definitely one amazing game!

    Yea I'd say top 5:

    1. Skyrim
    2. Baldurs Gate 2
    3. Fallout 3
    4. Icewind Dale 2
    5. Knights of the Old Republic

    In that order probably.

It's fun. I like it a lot more than Dragon Age Origins. DA:O was a lot more refined/nicer, but also tedious.
I still like the old Ultima series the best...

I get mine today! For some strange reason my hubby ordered it to be delivered instead of in store pick up ha ha.... but was busy over the weekend with a new baby in the family.... I can't wait.

If anyone hasn't seen the new penny arcade comic though.... it's worth a look lolol

Ultima is classic RPG, with most of its releases in the 90s. It also spawned Ultima Online.

Some stuff in Skyrim is sooooo dumb, like they didn't bother making sure what npcs were shouting was appropriate for the situation. Then, they turn around and impress me with the little rumors the guards talk about- that are a result of my actions.
