Seriously?!? If this show doesn't pull itself together soon I'm done. How many movies do we have to copy? Hmmmm dude wakes up in a hospital alone after the end of the world...28 Days Later (which isn't even a zombie movie), Let's pretend we're zombies to get through a horde...Shaun of the Dead, Creepy dude keeping zombie relatives...Romero's Survival of the Dead (even though I love Romero it was beyond awful). And seriously find the girl dead or alive and let's move on with our lives...or lack of.

I'm not trying to get into an argument here but I am SO SO sick of people getting mad at this show.
It's based on a comic book...loosely. It has a plot that is supposed to embrace the zombie culture we know while making a world that knows nothing of it.

On a separate note if ONE MORE PERSON whines that there isnt enough zombies or violence in the show Im going to snap and not talk to anyone about it ever again.

Also - Im such a Norman Reedus fangirl that I will keep my "I LOVE DARYL" internal and say that he really shouldnt have survived that, but I loved everything about his little story.

I really want to see when Lori says shes pregnant, and how closely the barn situation resembles the comics.

I was shouting at that blonde b*tch on top of the winnebago. grrrrr

    So was I!

I had a feeling the Merle thing was a hallucination but you know that it was brought up for a reason. I have a feeling it won't be the last we see of him.

The zombies in the barn thing is fukcin creepy, I bet it's all their family members they've lost.

See, I think they are doing experiments on them to try to find a cure.

i doubt a bunch of farm people would be able to come up with a cure. my guess is they are keeping the "alive" in the hopes a lab somewhere does find a cure.

I personally love the show and the direction its taking. In my opinion its very well written and acted and is definitely one of, if not the best show on TV today.

i agree i like how its going they cant have tons of action like in a movie because they are making it a show so it needs to go slower and i seem to think there is enough action and lots of goor things in each one.

I kind of figured the old man had some walkers hidden somewhere... he's been very anxious for the group to leave. The walkers are probably family members or friends.... what I want to know is... are they feeding them? and HOW?

    Glenn. Is dinner.

Or they'll try to make him dinner and he'll somehow escape.

Probably not, but that story arc would rock!

I've read the graphic novels so I knew what was in the barn. It was just a matter of time before they found it. I don't want to give up anything if you haven't read them.. also the fact that they said they would change up things in the TV series to allow readers new twists in the story so some details could be totally different from the novels.

And as far as Andrea goes... when is she going to get eaten? She never listens to what anyone says and she's going to end up getting people killed. She's really bugging the crap outta me...

I can't stand Andrea, and she wonders why they didn't want her with a gun. HELLO!!!

I agree 100%! I was yelling at the TV the entire time she was like "BACK OFF DALE" I was like "NO!! YOU FREAKIN MORON! IT'S DARRYL!!!"

I agree. I also saw an interview with the writer of the graphic novels, Robert Kirkland, and he stated that the focus is really more on how people change and interact with other each other. I think it's a good mix of zombie action and character development. I really hope they bring the character of Michonne onto the show. She is a bad *kitten* that would put the rest of the annoying female characters to shame!

And then Dale let her off way too easy. If it was me, I would have gotten right in her face and said, And you wonder why we don't want you to have a gun??

I think it's a combination of trying to find a cure and they are friends/family. It explains why Maggie lost her lunch when they killed the water logged walker in the well last week.

I feel bad for Glenn, it seems like everyone has a secret they want him to keep that affects the whole group.

Also, remember when Hershel said he wanted to be the one to deal with walkers? I think it would be to add to their barn collection. I think it may be due to a moral issue, more so than old family and friends.

Week behind. I've only seen this episode today.

Once I saw the farm being introduced into the TV show I had a sneaking suspicion that the barn and it's contents were going to make an appearance as well.

So far this season they're dragging back in a lot of the story lines from the comic books.

But is that just a twist to throw fans of the comic book of the trail; to make us think we know what is going to happen next bt then have the story shift away from the comic books again?

And as for Darryl, "as tough as old nails".
  • Excellent episode! I knew that farmer vet guy was hiding **** in that barn!! I have to find Episode 6 now so I'm all caught up!
