Ok, so where is your Wii? Above or below the TV? In the center or to the side? What is your sensitivity setting? How tall is your TV with the stand if you have one? How far away do you stand from it?

I am desperately trying to figure out if I have mine set up correctly. It seems to have gone from bad to worse :frown:

Any help I can get is greatly appreciated!! Meanwhile, I'm going to go dance!

Oh PS my answers are: The sensor is on top of the TV. It is above. It is in the dead center. My sensitivity is set on 5. My TV is 5 feet tall w/stand. I have been standing about 5ft away then I moved to about 9 ft away.

Should be a little lower my sensor is maybe 3 feet off the ground to hit the middle of my body.

My sensor is about 14 inches off the floor, a bit low but I cant put it anywhere else. Mind you I'm only 5'1 so it works ok for me.
I dance around 5 feet away from the sensor.
I dont know about the sensitivity as Ive never adjusted it?

My Wii is under and to the left of my TV. Sensor is below and in front of the TV. TV stand is 27in tall.

    Sensitivity is either a 2 or 3.

    I dance 4-5 feet away.

NOW at my parents house its a completely diff story. They have ceiling height armoire with TV inside. I believe the sensitivity there is a 3. The Wii and sensor are above the tv, and we usually dance 4-5 ft away but sometimes end up 6-8ft away.

I hate to say this BUT it shouldn't make to much of a difference at all where it is unless either A.) theres something in front of your sensor or B.) you have a faulty sensor or C.) You have your Wii setting as sensor on bottom when it's on top.

Do you know of anyone who can let you try there sensor so you can test it?

If not one of those then my guess is your timing is simply off for the moves. My scores were just as low when I started out and I realized that you have to be very specific on how you hold the remote and also I found that when I started making sure to follow there feet and body movements as well I was getting much more "perfects".

    I hope this helps!

    I got the tape measure out;

TV is mounted on the wall and wii sensor is stuck under it at 4'6" (54in/136cm) high from the ground, in the settings I actually state it is on top of TV and sensitivity is set at 4.

    I dance 9 feet (108in/275cm)away from the TV/sensor.

Because I still get rather crappy results and I think I do follow the moves (most of the time) that I may buy a Wii MotionPlus, it's meant to see movements better - does anyone use one? I've read somewhere the JD3 is compatible.

I have a Wii MotionPlus. It came with the bundle when we bought our Wii. I'm not sure if it makes a difference or not, but I could always give it a try. Our tv w/stand is about 4 1/2 ft. The stand is about 2 1/2 ft off the floor and I have the Wii sensor sitting in the center below the tv on a little stand it came with. I dance about 6 ft away. I thought it was closer! I didn't realize it was that far away until I measured. Also, the newer Wii remotes have the Wii MotionPlus built in.

Thanks, My wii is rather "mature" so maybe I'll invest in a new wiimote with the sensor in built... they come in such pretty colours, ohh hot pink!!

Ok, so I tried it with & without the Wii MotionPlus and it didn't really make much of a difference except it seemed easier to move the remote without the extra block (motionplus) on the bottom. Registered the moves just as well.
