Good morning all! -- Got my TF 30 Tone workout in at 5:15 this morning! I feel awesome. Two days of healthy eating. Day three? No problem.

  • I'm new to the group and hope you don't mind me jumping in. I just started the Turbo prep schedule and today I completed the Fire 45 EZ Class. I did kind of bad with my eating though :( I tried Shakeology for the first time today. Yuck! Going to try using milk tomorrow and see if that improves the taste.

    Welcome Tammy0901. Good job with your workout today. I don't like the Shakeology either. I'm going to try it with peanut butter today. I'll let you know if that helps.

    I haven't done my workout yet today, BUT, I did yesterday's workout at 11:00pm (didn't finish until 12) and feel great today even though I only got ONE hour of sleep last night :(

    Yesterday was HIIT 15 & Sculpt 30. That Sculpt is TOUGH i tell you! I've never worked with resistance bands before, but they are definitely KILLER!! :D

    Tonight is Fire 55EZ which I totally LOVE!!!! It's long & I get exhausted by it, BUT, I love the moves :D Can't wait to get my turbo on tonight after work :))

    I'm especially excited today because ... last time I started Turbofire, I quit the program before this point. I was dealing with a lot of stress, had a lot of anxiety & was depressed. I started going out more & socializing (with beer) and put my workouts to the side. I turned 26 on November 6th and decided that this was MY YEAR & i'm coming out on top!!! I want to turn 27 & be exactly who I've always thought I could be.

    I started this round of Turbofire on November 7th & haven't looked back since. I've been pushing PLAY every single day since & have loved every minute of it (even my 11pm workouts). Turbofire is exactly what I needed to succeed this year, I know it. I've put my scale away (for the entire 20 weeks) and am focusing solely on how I feel, and making sure I eat right everyday & get my workout in. I haven't felt this good in years :)

    Bring on today :)

  • I also tried Shakeology and just couldn't get past the taste. I tried everything! I switched to Herbalife and I love it.
  • I started off my morning with some Fire EZ 45. Great burn and an hour later i'm still burning great calories!

    Hey everybody! Rest day for me. Worked overnight last night and I'm back in at 3pm so I'm getting ready to get some sleep. I'm sore from Tone 30 yesterday. A GOOD sore though :)

    I work a double shift tomorrow but I'm going to try to squeeze in something. Maybe HIIT 15...

    @hleeram, don't u just love the afterburn? I really felt it the first time I did HIIT 15. I was sweating all afternoon!

    Good morning, all you lovely ladies! This morning was Fire 30 / Stretch 10 for me again. I thought I was supposed to do Fire 55EZ today but according to my rotation schedule for week 1 of the regular program is was not (pouty face...I love Fire 55). But a look on the bright side is that I get to do it tomorrow! I have never done a complete round of TF so I am very excited to see where this takes me!

    MissAnjy - Holy cow I can't believe you worked out that late and only got an hour of sleep. I would be curled up in a corner somewhere!! I admire you for being able to resist the scale. It is my downfall I am on it at least 4 times a week :blushing: .

    tiffanydawn - enjoy your rest day!!:drinker: (that's water by the way...lol)

    Did you guys take any before pix? I am going to do that tonight I think. I really blows you away to see the changes that are going on. Especially since you don't alway notice it without the comparison. Just something to think about!

    HIIT 20 + Sculpt 30 = DONE! YAY

    MissAnjy: TF was my 1st time working with resistance bands too and my oh my does that BURN! in a good way :laugh: Wow you put your scale away, thats great! I weigh er... everyday :blushing: but track it in excel on a graph with a trend line so I don't get too hung up on whether i'm up a couple from one day to the next. Can't wait to measure myself at the end of this week (Wk 4 for me).

    traceylee: Yep, i've taken my photos and I have them to compare to the ones I'm going to take this sunday and then 4 weeks from that and 4 weeks from that etc. I think It'll be nice to have a comparison from week 1 to week 20 in the end!

    Fire 55 EZ tomorrow! I am in agreement, I do love this workout! Which is a good thing as it shows up about once a week lol.

    I used to weigh myself everyday, atleast twice. I fell victim to the scale & it started to determine my moods :(
    I just couldn't live by it anymore! I gave it up and decided to not look back (for the next 20 weeks)
    a number is just that, a number. Nobody looks at Jillian Michaels and says "wow, she must be 110lbs" ......we all say "wow, she looks fantastic" ....just remember, nobody cares about that number but you! So don't put TOO much emphasis on it :)) & don't let it get you down (like i did)

    For those of you are saying you don't like Shakeology - are you making it in a blender with ice? What flavor are you using? For the chocolate - I have found that using a frozen medley (like Dole medley) and 1/2 c skim milk, 1/2 c water, is delish! The medley has mango, peaches, pineapple and strawberries. I only need to add a little bit of ice - the frozen fruit replaces much of the ice I usually use - and it is super creamy.

    For you choc/peanut butter fans - try adding peanut butter, and even some strawberries for a peanut butter and jelly effect.

    I also love the chocolate with lots of blueberries!

    If you are using the Greenberry - always, alwasy, always, use 1/2 c Trop 50 orange juice or 1/2 c healthy balance apple juice. I never drink Greenberry with just water. To the juice, I add 1/2 c water and, again, frozen or fresh fruit. The juice really mellows out the wheat grass taste. Sometimes I add a T of nonfat yogurt for a creamy texture.

    Ladies - there are tons of recipes and tons of way to make Shakeology! But, I totally recommend ALWAYS MAKE IN A BLENDER WITH ICE!

    I'm so happy to see so many ladies out there pushing play with TF! It's totally worth it if you stick thru a full round of this program. That's what this group is here for - to encourage you to keep getting at it!

    Also - I recommend putting up a picture of your "why" to remind you why you are doing this - do you have a vacation coming up for which you want to rock a bikini? Are you wanting to be a healthier role model for your kids? Are you training to do your first 5K?
    When you feel like taking a pass on your workout or your healthy eating, just look at your "why". Each day takes you one step closer to your dream!
