So, today I decided something: I just changed my major to Social Studies Education, and since I'm going to teach History, I decided that we will watch Hetalia in the history class I teach! I bet you guys all want me to teach your kids history!

    Yes! Omgosh.

I got my mom to watch Hetalia and she said, "I wish they had something like this for math (she's a retired geometry teacher). I'm actually learning something.'' XD

I love this anime!! A lot of people bash it because of the stereotypes, but I think that was supposed to be satire. I like satire.

At first I was kinda annoyed by Hetalia because I thought that Spain's obsession with tomatoes was a little exaggerated. (I'm Spanish-American.)

But then I realized that I was eating gazpacho with a side of pisto. (Both are dishes made mostly with tomatoes.) After harvesting a bunch of tomatoes from my garden... which had only tomatoes, in 5 different varieties.

.. And then I accepted that stereotypes are sometimes rooted in truth.

    Off-topic: I LOVE GAZPACHO (especially white gazpacho)! . . . I think I have a thread idea.

yeah, I think all of them are exaggerated, I think that's what is supposed to be funny about it. After all, if you can't laugh at who you are, then you're doing it wrong!

    I LOVE HETALIA!
  • I absolutely love Russia! ;__; I love his character Design so much, and I feel so lame but i've even cosplayed a female version of him XD

He had me hooked on him when I saw him jumping out of the plane shouting 'Vodkaaaaa'.
