I keep thinking that if I hadn't had my daughter I would have already seen the movie right now. LOL, oh the joys of being a parent. It's so worth it though.
  • OMG. LOVE IT. That is all.

i *really* enjoyed breaking dawn! i know i'll be watching it again in the near future!

    my faves:

bella's pre-wedding day dream sequence (i know it's different from the book, but i think i actually liked it better)
    the honeymoon!
pretty much every scene that jacob did
loved that we got to see kristen's acting on a new level - i thought she was terrific

    disappointed:

they didn't show edward eat cake
they didn't show jacob give permission for edward to break the treaty
too much wolf fighting - i don't think they ever would have gone after esme that way

*loved* the movie, and we showed up at the perfect time - they had just opened up the second theater so we got excellent seats!

and i loved the volturi scene at the end, especially since it was so cheeky about spelling and grammar and i just got a forum write-up from a moderator about that a couple of days ago! vampire17.gif

    I completely agree!

The cast has grown up (obviously) and the acting seemed much better in this movie. Of course bad acting could never keep me away! Rpatz is just more handsome than ever. I think the haircut really did it for me! I loved his long hair, but he looks so..... a-mmm-azing.
Anyway, i am supposed to go back next Friday and see it with a friend, but I think I'll be sneaking back to the theatre so see it again before then!!

I was shaking before the movie because it was cold in the theatre, but I'm convinced it wasn't the cold theatre that was doing it to me! I think I literally sat on pins and needles in anticipation throughout the whole thing!

Don't forget to watch Ellen today, the cast will be on!
  • I, too, thought the acting was so much better. Everyone looked AMAZING (except Emmett... he seemed oddly off to me). I think Jasper's hair FINALLY improved! :P I'm not a KStew fan but she did well this movie (with the exception of the crying scenes... she kinda sucks at crying). I loved how big of a part the wolves had in this movie. I was afraid they'd downplay that. The only scene that made me go WTF was the scene with the wolves "talking" while shifted. It sounded like a Transformers movie. >.>

I may go see it again tonight. LOL!

Went last night! Theater was full of teens who were ewwwing and ahhhing. I had a few moments there myself. I found some of the lines and scenes amusing, humorous. The wedding toasts especially. Gotta love Charlie! The wedding set and scene is my favorite. Loved it when they finally got married and Iron & Wine's ballad is playing (the song from the prom dance in Twilight), just wanted to grab the tissues!

Thought the imprint scene was good along with honeymoon shots. Little too much gore for me in the end, but I got over it real quick. Good place to stop Part I, didn't we all suspect that one. I will go see it again cause Im a sucker for romance and this series along my 14 yr old.

Top 5 things I love about Breaking Dawn Part 1

    1. The wedding scene, so elegant. It would've made Alice proud. The way they cut back and forth between Bella and Edward during the vows. Even the priest gave me goosebumps.

    2. The reception. Jasper and Alice dancing, what fun! The toasts!! Charlie! The other humans, Jessica, Mike and etc. all had funny lines. Jacob's return, so sad.

    3. Isle Esme. 'nuff said.

    4. The wolf pack's role. I think it was all well done, the inter-packcommunication, though a little weird, was how Jacob explains it, constant voices in your head. I really liked Leah a lot. Though she doesn't have a big role you really get a feel for what she has been through.

    5. Isle Esme. Did I already say that?

6.The scenery. I thought it was cool to get a different view of the area. I liked that they showed logging as that is the main industry there. The mountains were absolutley breathtaking. Were there any good views of Isle Esme? I didn't notice. Just kidding!! Beautiful!

    7. The imprint! Could've been creepy but was well done. I'm happy for Jake.

    8. Bella's red eyes. Great way to end it. Even thought I knew it was coming I was still surprised when she opened her eyes.

    9. The music. I love this soundtrack!!!! I can't get enough of it.

    10. Edward smiling. I love his smile and in the other movies we don't see enough of it. I go weak in the knees when he flashes those pearly whites.

    11. Bella "dead". Don't misunderstand what I mean. I didn't want her dead (Sorry Stacy LOL). They just did such a good job making her look dead that I (who has read the book a blue-zillion times) was even wondering if the venom could work. I got lost in that scene.

    12. Edward falling in love with the unborn Renesmee.

Sorry, did you really think I would stop at 5?

    P.S. Isle Esme!!

Saw this last night and let me tell you I was cheesing like a maniac through the whole movie! My husband thought something was wrong lol! I LOVE this movie, every year the directors get better and better. The creepiest part was when bella was "dead". It looked INCREDIBLY real and made my heart break when Edward was trying to revive her and he thought she was lost. My heart skipped a beat when he slammed that huge needle into her chest though....but then I felt ok about it because I was pretty sure after her back almost touching her back when her spine broke, that needle thing wasn't anything.. Wasn't too keen on the scene where you could see Edward pull Renessme out and you could see Bella's guts spilling out, but that's ok too I supposed. I was very impressed with the improvement of all the acting! I DIDN'T think you'd see so much skin in this movie though...very steamy. A big big change from the previous movies where they were just high schoolers. and btw, how in the WORLD did they make Kristen look so skinny? It must have been computer animated stuff going on there because she looked like a walking corpse by the end of the movie. Her skin was completely gray by the time the baby came out. They really stayed true to the book when it came to all of that. The scene where she was changing into a vampire got kind of weird for me when her chest bone popped back into place.... Definately my favorite movie yet, Can't wait to see the next one! Does anyone know when it's coming out? And also, does anyone know when Part I comes out on DVD? I just may have to bootleg it so I don't spend all my money going to go see it in the theater a million times. Going again tomorrow.
  • Part 2 is out November 2012. SO BOGUS. Assuming they follow the same pattern of DVD releases, it should be out around March.

One of my absolute faaaavourite part about this movie is how much Edward was smiling. I can't get enough of that!

  • OMG.... I loved it.... It was the first in the series that i have seen on the big screen. It was amazing....

Am thinking i am going to have to read the book again....

    Thumbs up from me...

he does have long toes. did you guys see him when him, kristen, and taylor put their foot prints and hand prints in concrete? Yeah kristen's and Taylor's footprints where normal, Robert's was 2x as long it seemed AND he had to turn his feet to the side to make it fit LOL

And what is funny, he has those super long fingers, that he always nervously runs through his long hair (didn't Kristin call him 'Flippy' because of them) but it didn't look like his hands or fingers were much bigger in the pics. What an honor to have their prints now at Grauman's Chinese theatre! I have never been there before, but maybe now I have a reason!!

I just saw it for the third time tonight, this time with my sister, and one thing I noticed that I loved was when Edward growled when he buried his face in the pillow when she was trying to tempt him with lingerie

I definitely love it any time he smiles and laughs, and the growl in the pillow just made it that much better!! Heavenly. OMG, do I have to go to work today, maybe I just need to skip and go to the movies again!

my favorite during that sequence was when bella went straight to the bed and collapsed. edward grinned at her sleeping figure, then stared at her a$s for for a bit before covering her up with the comforter - that tripped me out!

Did anyone else notice the shot in Rio where they were dancing in the street and his wedding ring wasn't on his finger??

    Edited for spelling...
  • I looooove when he buries his face! I squealed everytime I saw that. I freaking LOVE his smile!
