I'm starting to get disappointed in the show a bit, ill keep watching for now but it's straying away from the title imo where has the "Horror" gone? the best scary part was when (forgot her name just as I started to type this) the girl tryin to score cocaine got attacked by the "devil" its turned into more of a softcore porn lately with 1 or 2 light horror pieces in ("piggy piggy" has been the closest theyve come to legit horror since) I aint offended by any of it just disappointed there's been so little horror scenes in a show called American Horror Story, I can accept a slow or "light" episode here and there but the majority of the show has been like this and it's starting to lose it's appeal.

not all horror is about gore and things popping out though. but thats just my opinion. i love this show , . i do agree there is a lot of sex/ sexual things going on lately tho that could of been something more dark and spooky

I agree it's not all about the gore and things popping out (most of my favorite horror movies are not like that) but what has there been really that can be horror? the home invasion episode (forgot to mention that before) and the piggy piggy one are the only ones since the whole devil thing that were even somewhat scary, this far into the season you'd expect more, next week looks promising but I wont hold my breath until then

I think they are trying to pull what would be an American Horror story with us into the plot....I mean....it would be horrifying to find out that your husband has been sleeping with his 20 year old patient, and then she is pregnant....

it would be horrifying to finally find someone that you love, and not be able to truly have them.....

it would be horrifying to get caught sleeping with someone's husband.....

If you were in your 40's and already had a miscarriage, and now are pregnant, you would be terrified that something bad is going to happen....

I think these types of things are all horrifying....just not in the supernatural this couldn't really happen sense....all of these types of things could happen....So I think the show does a good job of pulling true life horrors in with the supernatural.....

I get what you're saying but if you go by that standard soap operas can be considered horror

I can see what your saying, but I think they are setting up the sory better to lead to the finale. This show has so many twists and story lines going on at once that they need these slower episodes to answer questions (and leave us with more). I think Tates episode where they told his story was amazing and horrifying, along with this last one telling the story of the orginal owners. Im still edge of my set every wens,so im pretty happy with it

    Here's my opinion:

I feel like if the only thing they did was kill people, have things pop out of closets, etc then it would be just like a horror movie - which I like, but are usually quite cheesy and don't really have much of a storyline to them.

This show NEEDS a storyline and I think all these "slow" episodes are building that storyline. If I'm going to follow a show, I want them to explain things to me - not just have horror and gore all the time. I think they do a good job of combining scary with storyline building. But, that's just me.

And I think there is more to "horror" than things popping out of closets. I mean.. I think it's pretty horrific that a guy puts a pillow over a handicap person's face and smothers him to death. Or that all these people who've died in the house are in the house still. Those things are "horrors" (could you imagine living in a house where all the dead former tenants were still there?) even if they aren't "scary" in the traditional sense.

well like I said I dont expect things popping out and gore in fact the majrity of my favorite horror movies dont involve popping out and gore, and I agree that it does need some slow episodes but I think it's been outright sluggish for the most part, I aint giving up on the show and I still enjoy it for the most part it just hasnt been as good as I expected it to be after the first couple episodes, the pillow over face was almost expected after it showed her talkin to the guy and then it showed him attic I knew he was gonna kill him some how, I agree it's horrific but for me at least it was expected and as far the whole dead tennants living there that was pretty much the expectation from the first episode on, the preview for this weeks episode looks promising but im gonna wait and see, part of the reason to is the storylines are almost dragging out at this point, li8ke I said im willing to give it more time it's just not keeping me on the edge of my seat anymore, I relaise the need for slower episodes as im a fan of many tv shows with continuing storylines (Walking Dead, Falling Skies, Terra Nova etc...) but those shows at least give enough often enough to keep it going for me.

I like the episodes more and more. I like finding out the details of each person, such as this past week's insight to the first couple living in the home. I was excited to learn more and wished they kept her on the tour bus a little longer on the episode so we can keep getting information. I can't say that somethings I didn't see coming, but a slow storyline is better than the continued "reality shows" they keep coming out with lol. Only 2 more days!!!

Haha, I think it's funny we have opposing views on this show and Walking Dead. The way you are feeling about AHS, I feel about Walking Dead. I liked the first season better.

I agree the first season was far better but I expected this season to be a little slower, but they've kept it interesting enough that I dont feel it's too slow, I am expecting next season to pick up quite a bit though

I think the best Horror stories are those that lull you in, tease in the beginning... then make you feel safe w/ a few shivers here and there and the BAM OMG you are jumping off the couch and looking behind you ......

My take on it is that they are trying to put together the story line for us. Because there are so many twist and turns, they have to spend a bit of time explaining how they got to that point. The season started off great, and I loved it. Now, I still enjoy it but not nearly as much as before. I do hope that there is more dark twist ahead - I am sure there is. And I would really love to see more crazy, dark sex because it is fun to watch. (Yes, I am a dirty bird - don't judge me! LOL)
