so this post is designed for each of us to post our starting weight/measurement/starting ???whatever???
no one has to use weight or measurements if they dont' want to. everyone's goals are different.

With that in mind, post away!

    I really want to start exercising. I travel a lot for work, and it becomes so easy to go back to the room and sit at the computer and work...I need to focus on myself more so that I can be around for my family for a long time!

    I also want to stay away from sugar. I did really great for a really long time, but I have been slipping back into some old habits that I must break immediately before I undo all I have done!!

    I am glad I found this site..I hope it offers support, and I hope I can offer my support to others as well!!

I just joined this group - this is my first group on here to join... really hoping for some motivation to get me through the holidays with *fingers crossed* maintaining or hopefully losing weight!     - Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day
    - Exercise moderate-hard intensity at least 4 days per week
    - Do a walk or SOMETHING exercise-oriented to get moving every day
    - Keep NET calories under 1100 (exercise increases available calories)
    - Disney World Trip (12/11-12/19) - Maintain weight lost through trip
    - Christmas (12/24-25) - Eat in moderation for all 3 meals (eve, lunch, supper)
    - Birthday (12/30) - Eat 1 "fun" splurge of a meal, eating OUT so I don't have any leftovers (order a slice of cake - don't bake a whole one!)
    - Other "special days" (new years, valentines, etc) - choose only one meal to splurge at
    - Lose 20 pounds in 14 weeks to be within a few pounds of my pre-wedding/goal weight
    - Keep posting in the discussion forum - ya'll keep me accountable!

    Ultimate Goal Weight: 130 by my birthday 7/24/2012

    I'm shooting for two pounds a week as an aggressive goal...aggressive is the only way I can take things on. Here are some other goals:

    Drink between 64 and 85 ounces of water a day
    Eat at least 2 cups fruit and 2 1/2 cups vegetables each day
    Focus on nutrition, not calories
    Work out at least 5 days a week for 30-60 minutes at a time

    I'll have more goals later on because my dietitian will have more for me. Thanks. Good luck everyone!

    I'm still not entirely sure what my goals are. I'd like to be in "one"derland for the first week of January, but not sure if that is reasonable (especially with the holidays and all HAHA).

    SW 209lbs. The main thing is that I want to see my measurements continue to go down, at least a total of a couple inches a week for a while. :D
  • Starting weight is 172 lbs...managed to stay at that weight for about the last 10 days. Based on the fact that the holidays are a tough time to lose weight, I would be happy to get to 170 by Jan 1st. Then I would like to lose an additional 1 to 2 lbs per week through the spring of 2012. My birthday happens to be 3/9 so I would like to be down to 160 lbs by that point. That would be 10 lbs of weight loss in about 10 weeks. I just need to keep tracking and squeeze in as much exercise as possible.

    I'm not sure how much weight loss is reasonable for me each week. 1 pound, maybe? I have been stuck at current weight for a while, but in the past have lost a couple in one week & then stayed the same the next week, then lost a pound, then the same weight again, the next week. Basically, if I could drop 14 pounds total in 14 weeks, that would be totally amazing!!! NSV would be to fit into some of my older clothes that I was wearing 2 years ago.... I have a couple particular outfits in mind, and to walk/run a 5k & possibly get off blood pressure medication. Would be awesome if I could meet any of those goals!

    Yes there is a way! One would have to go to google docs, and create a new "FORM". From there, another group I am part of had the options to select your username from a list, input the date, and add your current weight. These numbers are put into the chart automatically, and when the link to the forum is shared, everyone can see it! :bigsmile: Someone message me if any help is needed, and I can figure it out, but it's pretty user friendly.

    I agree; a spreadsheet would be really helpful. That way we can see how everyone's doing without having to look back through the threads.
