So...what are my fellow Nebraskan's doing to avoid the pitfalls of Thanksgiving? I need all the help I can get cuz I can almost taste the sweet potatoes and pie now........

Oooh hon, it's going to be really hard. But I have decided that I am going to eat everything I want. But I will be eating just a tiny portion. That way I can have some of everything and not feel bad about it.
Also, I made a Sugar Free Sweet Potato pie with Splenda. It is AWE-some!! So that is going to be our dessert. My friend Liz, who is on here with me, is coming over to eat. So we will have full support! LOL

I logged everything I ate for Lunch...But I still have dinner to come! I DID get a workout in tho! Proud of that!!0

I sucked. I actually got a few good workouts in, but after two thanksgiving dinners over the course of the weekend and traveling to Missouri one day (road food - ick)....I gained 3 lbs. Grrr....time to redouble my efforts!0

I ate everything I wanted to eat for Thanksgiving, but I don't think I ate as much of it. I didn't track anything as I wouldh ave no clue how to track any of it.
I must have not done that bad though since I'm down 2 lbs since then, and that's w/o exercise (i'm still babying a tailbone injury).0 -
I was bad, bad, bad! Ate everything I wanted, in portions I wanted. Traveled voer 1300 miles over between Wed and Sunday so had not time to run. Had two dinners, one of which was prepared by my brother who just finished school to become a chef. Need I say more?? I gorged and drank and drank and gorged. Only gained aobut 4 pounds though. Now, back to running to melt it all off!!
Is there anyone on this forum in the Omaha area who knows of good safe places to run when the snow flies? Can't afford a gym membership but like to get outside to run as much as possible. I have a treadmill but use it sparingly to avoid upsetting the neighbors.0 -
I also wasn't very good. I did pack my workout clothes and shoes, but didn't use them. We went to Colorado. The altitude gives me headaches the first day. I did recover. But eating, chatting, and a little drinking kept me inside. I gained 2-3 pounds. Wow. I am back to recording my food and will run this afternoon. Yeah.0
