And I found out that from pre-ordering we get to play 5 days early, so December 15th. NICE.

Nice man!0

oh wow really? we were just discussing pre-ordering. We have the week between xmas and new years off so might as well!0
-
I'll be playing. We had talked about you joining my merry group of jamooks on whatever server we decide to go on. If you're interested send me a pm, we can coordinate.0
-
My preorder for the CE has been in since day one, so I will be there for sure!
I'm running a Republic - PVP - US East guild with a few friends. If anyone is interested, let me know and I can send you the details.0 -
I'm definitely thinking of pre-ordering and would probably be interested in an MFP guild if we put one together
Edit: I can picture it... we wipe on a raid, and someone asks for a quick bio break. The leader says, "ok, jumping jacks for everyone while we wait! Be sure to log it!" :laugh:0 -

You miss the part where the raid leader screams at people for screwing up. I don't think its a raid unless there's yelling.
I don't know if we'll end up raiding in TOR - we already have wow raids 2x a week and that might be my limit. Then again unless dragonsoul heroics are way harder than the normal modes its going to be like 2 hours 1x a week.
I actually have had days where I seriously do jump up and do pushups or burpees or squats in between wipes - Maybe I should start doing that again. I used to do it if I didn't think I'd gotten enough of a workout in pre-raid but the extra activity wouldn't hurt me.0 -

 Thankfully I've never had too much yelling during raids, and I think my new kin (guild) is fairly laid-back with their raiding. My old one merged into them, minus the leader (the main reason I quit was because he was blaming me for wipes when it wasn't my fault - made things not fun anymore).
But, I have to get to 75 now that they raised the cap by 10 since I last played. Ugh, I feel so little again!
As for SWTOR, not sure how that'll work for me. I suppose it'll all depend on if I'm still playing LOTRO, and my work schedule...0 -
Yup I pre-ordered! My buddy works at Bioware, so I have actually been part of the SWTOR closed beta since about February. It has been cool to seen it evolve across various builds since then and I can't wait to get the release version!!0

Quick question for you since NDA is lifted. I was in beta as well but not for a long time so didn't get far.
Is SWTOR an open world MMO? Not like a "sandbox" type, but I mean can we go anywhere we want to? Or are some of the worlds linear? I heard Coruscant was linear as hell.0 -
I didn't really play too much beyond Coruscant (I didn't want to spoil any more of the storyline), but from what I hear from everyone is that Taris starts to open up a lot more and after that the worlds (like Hoth and Tatooine for example) are huge. So while it's definitely not a sandbox, the maps are a lot bigger after the first 2 intro worlds.
There was a good image of the scale of Korriban compared to Hoth I saw a while ago. Can't seem to find it right now, but Hoth was much larger.0 -

Played the beta! Awesome.. I mean... I can't tell you HOW awesome it is. Unfortunately, though my computer played it in the beta it's just not good enough to warrant buying the game because I don't meet the specs. :-( Christmas List Started!0

For the most part it is open world. Some places like Coruscant are more limited, but not really linear..they did a pretty good job considering Coruscant is supposed to be a huge planet-city. That just wouldn't be feasible to have as an totally open world.0 -
If you preordered when it was first available, you get 5 days. The 5 day codes are all gone. If you order this month, I believe it will be 1 day...
I'm looking forward to it, the game is very linear and won't feed my gaming ADD so it should be a good game for me. From what I saw in beta, planets are more like 'levels' and you keep moving to the next... Which is not dissimilar from other themepark MMOs.
Probably sith/inq on a PVP server...0 -
Totally getting it. Not the collector's edition, but getting the game for sure. My friend got in the stress test this last weekend, so he let me make a toon and run around.0

How do I know if my code got me in 5 days early?0 -
Unfortunately no one really knows for sure yet. Hopefully they will e-mail this info out soon so I know if I need to take off work on that Friday. I'm pretty sure I will be in on day one since I pre-ordered on day one, but who knows!0

Pre-ordered here and was able to play the open beta weekend last weekend and really enjoyed it. The story line is very immersive. I played republic since I know I'm going empire at release and didn't want to spoil anything. Very good so far.0

The MMO right?
My brother played the beta and cancelled his pre-order.
Hes a HUGE gamer and plays EVERYTHING...so I was shocked when he cancelled.0 -
Yeah, I signed up with my best bud (who is a huge SW freak.) Finally got things squared away on my account (oh EA/Origin, how I loathe thee!) There's a rumor going on now it may be as soon as December 13, so I really need to download the client tonight. Good gravy...20-someodd Gig! Yowza! :grumble:0

I hear that a lot. It's really pretty bland at low levels. I never got past 15 in the beta... I probably would have cancelled if I didnt have a bunch of friends playing it.0 -

Thanks for mentioning that, cayadear
Early access is SEVEN days early, not five! So we get to play very very soon! TUESDAY0
