New Gaming Rig

I'm finally putting together a new gaming rig. I had a few items on my radar, and almost all of them went on sale last week, so I pulled the trigger.
Here are the specs:
Chassis - COOLER MASTER HAF 932 Advanced
PSU - COOLER MASTER Silent Pro Gold Series - 800W
MoBo - ASUS P8Z68-V PRO
CPU - Intel Core i5-2500K
CPU Cooler - COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus
DRAM - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series DDR3 1600 - 16 GB
SSD - Intel 320 Series - 160GB
HDD - SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 7200 RPM - 1TB
GPU - MSI Twin Frozr II/OC GeForce GTX 560 Ti
GPU - MSI Twin Frozr II/OC GeForce GTX 560 Ti
One of the graphics cards is in my existing PC, so I am going to take that out to put it in SLI with the new one. I was waiting for a Crucial M4 to go on sale, but I ended up just going with the bigger Intel drive during the black friday sale even though it's SATA II.
Everything arrived yesterday, except for the HDD which should be coming today. I didn't have enough time to get too far into the build yet, other than unboxing a few things and installing the PSU into the case (which is much more massive than I imagined!). Tonight I should hopefully have everything installed and I can work on the cable routing through the massive HAF 932.
Maybe I'll get some pics of it if it ends up looking alright. Looking forward to seeing how this handles BF3 and Skyrim fully cranked up.

Oooooooooooo....
PICTURES! Awesome, grats on the new rig! Nothing like starting up the computer for the first time and have it operate FAST!0 -
New rigs are always fun!!
I was really excited when I built mine 6 months ago. It rocks! Have fun with it!0 -
Would LOVE to have a SSD. Waiting for larger capacity & lower cost though...0

The price point I was looking for was $1 per GB for one of the big 3 reliable drives (Samsung, Crucial, Intel). It will be a while before the SATA III drives get down to that point, but I managed to pick up my 160GB Intel drive for $159 on black friday (after rebate).
I got my computer up and running last night without any hitches. It posted the first time I turned it on with just the MoBo, CPU, and Heatsink + Fans, and after installing everything else and routing my cables, it posted and booted into the bios just fine. I probably stayed up a bit too late installing Windows and drivers and such, but I just wanted to get it done so I could enjoy it tonight!
Here are some crappy phone pics of the (almost) finished product. I still need to put in another hard-drive (the shipping company missed my package at their distro office yesterday, so hopefully I will get it today) and I want to get some 3-pin fan extension cables to make the cable runs to the MoBo a little easier and less obtrusive. I might reroute some of the cables in the back to alleviate some of the massive congestion near the bottom.

You'll have to let me know how that RAM works out for you. I was looking at it as an upgrade to my current. Looks like a great set-up, I always end up losing sleep to fix computer stuff I need to work on my cable routing a little. But I'll do that when I get some new fans.0

Total cost of the parts?
I'm probably going to build a new rig cost tax return time.0 -
$124.99 Chassis - COOLER MASTER HAF 932 Advanced ($25 rebate)
$134.99 PSU - COOLER MASTER Silent Pro Gold Series - 800W ($35 rebate)
$179.99 MoBo - ASUS P8Z68-V PRO
$199.99 CPU - Intel Core i5-2500K
$20.99 CPU Cooler - COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus
$59.98 DRAM - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series DDR3 1600 - 16 GB
$274.99 SSD - Intel 320 Series - 160GB ($120 rebate)
$79.99 HDD - SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 7200 RPM - 1TB
$244.99 GPU - MSI Twin Frozr II/OC GeForce GTX 560 Ti ($20 rebate)
$249.99 GPU - MSI Twin Frozr II/OC GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Bought in February)
The total price before rebates and including my existing video card is $1570.89
After the massive rebate from the SSD and the other ones, that brings the price to $1370.89 also with free copies of Battlefield 3 and Batman Arkham City. I will probably give BF3 to a friend for cheap/free, since I already have it, but Batman was a nice bonus.
If you take out my original video card that I've been using in my old PC, that brings it to about $1120 spent last week.
Almost everything was on sale, so it would have been a good amount higher otherwise. I could have made do without the SSD for under 1000 or gone a lot lower by not adding another video card but I decided to splurge on those.0 -
Oh snap, look at that 800 w power supply! LOL I have a 600! Looks great!0
