I like this idea better than 100 pushups. At least to start. I have noodle arms, but want/need to build some upper arm strength. Esp before my next Warrior Dash in April!0 -
Just my two cents on what we should do - 30/30/30 3x/week split into 3 sets of 10/10/10 - 10 push ups, 10 sit ups (REAL SIT UPS, NO CRUNCHES!), and 10 squats, maybe a cardio blast, rest, repeat - yes, no, maybe? thoughts, suggestions, variations?0

I'm ok with real sit up, but can I still do my "girl" push ups until I work up to the real thing?? Seriously, NO arm strength.0

NO dont ever do girl push ups---they do no good. Rather, do incline push ups with your feet on the ground and your hands on a wall, stair, bench, box, etc until you can do a "real" push up. Gradually this will build your core strength enough to do "real" push ups!0 -

I just joined this Group....I hope that's ok!!
I found it intriguing as I want to build my upper body too.
I can't do squats or lunges right now as I am still recovering from a minor knee surgery but have been really trying to concentrate on building wicked-defined-ripped-HOT arms and shoulders!
So tell me what to do and I'll do it!
I'll work up a sweat and push it real good

Before I could do a real pushup ... I used the stairs .. started on a decent incline and then worked my way down to the last step .... give it a try!0 -

Yup a rules/explanation was added lastnight. I just bumped it back to the top as it had moved to the second page and become burried.
We decided on the 100 push up thing.

I'm gonna try it. I will do the test tonight but I honestly don't think I can do one we shall see. I have a feeling I will be most behind :-) if I can ever do 20 I would be happy :-) lol but 100 I will do (fingers crossed)0
