Hello Everyone,

My partner and I have decided we're ready. . . . to start researching! . . . and man, that process is confusing and long. . . have any of you used any sperm banks? you were happy with them? would be willing to share the information with me? Our plan in anonymous donor.

Any suggestions? Help? Research you've done. I'll take it.

Thanks so much,
Katie

Location would help determine what sperm bank. Local is always cheaper. We were able to find a donor through a local hospitals fertility clinic

Talk to a good midwife who serves the lesbian community, she'll have great info and reviews on your local area. Also look for TTC (trying to conceive) and Lesbian Moms groups on meetup dot com as they are great resources for our community.

I chose a sperm bank at first and was highly dissatisfied with the experience, it was not for me.

Single-by-choice *kitten* mom, I have a 6 yo daughter now from a known donor and we're the happiest family ever. Planning another child in 2-3 years.

my partner and I were looking into midwest sperm bank -- we had heard very good reviews of it and that it was very LGBT friendly. We are still in the discussion stage.... :)

I've been going through this with my partner for about two years now so we are pros. We used California Cryobank and they have been great. They will ship everywhere, just have to have the proper documents in place with your doc and their clinic. You can get lots of information from their website about the donor. We had great donor choices from them and never had to deal with any LGBT unfriendliness because we did it all online.

I'd be happy to answer any questions for you because I've been through everything from simple IUI's through numerous IVF cycles.

I used Northwest Cryobank for both of my children. They were friendly, very easy to work with and relatively inexpensive.
