With the exception of maybe 4 or 5 of the actors in the series, everyone in the show has been totally new to me, and I gotta say theyre putting out some great performances.
Can only hope to see more of them outside the show as well.

I agree! The only one I knew was Daryl (Norman Reedus). I think it's a combo of their characters developing and their acting talent.

The wife was watching "Love Actually" the other night, and... BAM! There was Rick, with a British accent!

    His credits: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0511088/

That's because he is English. He was born in London.

CrossedArms.gif Unlike American actors trying to do an Irish or English accent; Irish and English actors are capable of pulling off a very credible american accent. It just proves that Irish and English actors are more talented.

When I first saw the show last year and saw Rick for the first time, I almost choked! I recognized him from Love Actually, and I looooooved him in that movie :)

If any of you watch True Blood, though, you'll notice that very few of the main characters are played by Americans.

Touche. I apologize for Madonna, especially.

You know, if you cannot fake it, best not to even try -- like Kevin Costner's Robin Hood.

Batman (Christian Bale), the new Superman (Henry Cavill), and the new Spiderman were all born or raised in the UK. What's happened to us?!

Actually, who you should really be apologising for is Tom Cruise's stupid attempt at an Irish accent in "Far and Away" :explode:

For the most part the True Blood actors do pretty well but I am from the area that True Blood is set in and the accents are a little too thick. I mean I probably sound like a hick but most people here don't sound that bad.

I got to watching a crazy old Rob Schneider movie last night called Big Stan. The guy playing Hershel was in it as a prison warden. He sounded just the same as he does on TWD. Maybe he naturally has a country sounding voice.

Hmm... I haven't seen "The Mist", but I know it was written and directed by Frank Darabont, who wrote and directed the pilot of "The Walking Dead". Very cool.

I was very disappointed with "The Mist". It strayed away from the Stephen King novella too much. They had completely different endings . :grumble:
