Hello M.O.M. group members! It has now been a month since starting the group! thank you everyone for your support and making the group a great success! How did we do this week?
This week was a great success for me. I lost 4 lbs! still going strong feelin better than ever!

I, unfortunately, gained 2 pounds. I could go on forever with reasons why, but I am not going to - NO MORE EXCUSES!!!! This week has been better so far. Goal is to do 150 sit-ups this week, I started Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred and I am eating better (so far).0 -
Comgrats on losing 4lbs! I on the other hand gained like 2 ( Ugh I jumped off the wagon once the weekend was here. And yesterday was the worst ( I'm getting stressed cause of the holidays this weekend. Hoping everything goes right. Time to.start over and watch what I eat again. I tried to lower my calories to 1200 but I I felt like I was starving myself. I just hope I don't gain back all the weight I lost so far this weekend with having 3 or more dinners to go to. Lol0

you guys can do it! just focus and try to make the better food choices. its ok to be stressed over the holiday weekend coming up, i am too! but remember to keep the snaking to a minimum until the holiday arrives. i am one to say that holidays are a time to spend with your loved ones and not to stress over calories but until a holiday reaches, i count calories and do exercise religiously! lowering caloric intake is NOT something you want to do! your body will go into a state of shock and go into starvation mode and not want to let go of the fat and in some cases, gain fat. when your body goes into starvation mode its sending signals to your brain that your body is starving and your brain is telling your body not to let any weight go because its reserving fat for when your body will need it most like when you are starving. i am on the what is most known as the eat less diet. burn more calories that what you are taking in. my net calories are anywhere from -200 to a +200 and i keep on a 1500 cal diet. which is a huge improvement for me because before when i was over 300lbs, i was taking in anywhere from 2200 to 2500 calories a day! i dont eat my calories back that i work off. if you do that, you are defeating the purpose and you are maintaining your weight instead of losing the weight. keep it up guys and you will see the results that you want! it took me over 2 months to really start seeing a change so dont get discouraged. in fact, i am so pleased with my progress that i cant wait to see how far i can really go with this and prove to myself that i CAN do it! remember, healthier options, portion control and everything in moderation! if anyone wants, i do have quick healthy meals that are lunch box friendly and quick for dinner! and cheaper in the budget too!0

CONGRATS on losing the 4 lbs. I have done ok this week. i maintained so I guess that is good for this time of the year. It is harder to get in the exercise when the kids are home from school, but I need to just do it. I have an appt tonight at the gym with a personal trainer so that should help. i would love for you to share your recipes, I love to try new things and it helps to see what others are eating. Hello everyone, My week is going great a little stressed about getting everything packed and ready for our roadtrip, we leave on Thursday morning so will weigh in tomorrow a couple days early so hopefully will see good results, other than that I have been working out for 60 minutes since last week and have been actually enjoying the extra time lol I know I won't get that in for the next couple weeks but am going to do what I can and watch what I eat while away!!!
