I was wondering if anyone has ever ran this one and what inspirational story you may have to share? I'm a beginner, and always wanted to do a Marathon. I ran my first 5K in 28 minutes, training for a 10K in May for the Tulip Time Run and the 1/2 Marathon here in Holland that following September...and then maybe doing this Marathon in Oct 2013 if they have it..

    I ran the GR half marathon this past Oct. The race director and all his helpers put together an incredible race. I was so emotional throughout the race because I felt so good and I was accomplishing such a milestone for myself. At the end of the race, the race director shakes everyone's hand, and that was amazing to me. It's a great small race (in comparison to Detroit race which is the same weekend), lots of encouragement on the entire course and free New Holland beer afterwards! hope u put this race on your 2012 schedule :)
