Hey everyone, my name is Sarah and I live in Ohio. I have 2 children (which is a main reason why I want to start challenging myself to workout). I am married to the love of my life Dylan and we recently had our 2nd anniversary. We are both full-time college students. I am majoring in Education and minoring in English. I want to meet some new people and stay motivated to workout more!

Hi, i'm Jessica. I'm trying to lose 20-30 pounds. I've done it before with weight watchers but put all the weight back on. I'm looking for people to help keep me motivated. I'm excited for the squat challenge! (how do you log in the squats?, I didnt see them under exercise, unless i missed it)
  • Hi I'm Julie, Mum of 2 and an Aussie. Just trying to lose my last 5-9 KG. Love to challenge myself to keep motivated.

Hi I'm Tina. I have 4 kids but now that they have all moved away I can't use them as an excuse for being fat. j/k
When my husband comes back from work in 20 days I really want him to notice a difference. I'm sure squats will either kill me or make me stronger. I'm looking forward to this.

Greetings from Indiana. I'm Shelli - 2 kids, but they're off pretty much living their own lives now. One is married and will be blessing me with my first grandchild any day now. She and her husband will be blessed, too! My son is in his A School for the Navy Reserves and looks forward to being done with it and moving on to his C school. Neither live around home and I miss them dearly.

I joined 100 Squats for 100 Days Challenge because I thought, "Oh, why not." I need periodic challenges to keep me motivated.

I only have 9,950 squats left to do ... not that I'm counting.

Hi, I'm Teresa. I struggled with my weight all my life but really started packing it on after my second baby (who is now 2). I didn't really feel too bad but always hated myself in pitcures and then sort of woke up one day and realized i really WAS that fat girl in the pictures. I'm getting pretty close to my goal but still feel loose and jiggly in a bunch of places. so... let's get squatting!!

Hi I'm Trisha. I lost 40lbs about five years ago and I've kept it off. I've just recently lost another five and I'm at 134. I'm trying to slim up a bit more to around 128-130. What I really need to work on is toning. My brother and sister naturally have abs and I think with a little work mine can appear too. I joined because I want to get started on my toning adventure, and challenges are a fun and easy way to do it.

HI!!! I'm Rachel and I'm a mom of one 10 year old (almost) girl who thinks she is 21. I've been back and forth with this site for about a year and just decided to rededicate myself to working out. I have always had an issue with my back side and inner thigh area so this will be great!!! If it doesn't make my legs fall off.
  • I am Katie from Oklahoma. I am married with one child, a 1 1/2 year old girl. About 2.5 months ago is when I got serious about losing weight and have about 11 lbs to go. I am hoping that jointing this challenge, and a couple others, I can keep myself motivated to reach my goal. I did my 100 squats today almost all at once and broke a sweat so this is a great challenge. Our rear ends will look great aftter this!!

Hello All. Thanks Sarah for creating the group. My name is Lynn and leave in Richmond, VA. I have two girls -- one is 23 and has just moved back home to apply for grad school. My 2nd one is 18 and started college back in mid-August. I'm in the middle of the big D, so my husband moved out a couple of months ago. We unfortunately, will most likely have to sell our house in the settlement. So....the big D is my motivation to get this body in shape. And, my back side and thigs need a lot of work. I sooooo want to get in the best shape I've ever been in. We have been married for 29 years and have some issues off and on. And, I'm really trying to make this huge negative into a huge positive.

Good luck to everyone. I know we can do this and do it well!!
  • Hi All, my name is Celeste and I live in South Africa, I have always been on the heavier side, I have lost 8.5 Kgs in the last 4 months but also stopped smoking 4 weeks ago and I find that I've been eating almost unconsciously :) I ork full time & study part time ( Majoring in Psychology & English), I went home yesterday and did my 100 squats ( oh my.... can't believe how difficult it really was), I am looking forward to this challange, Thanks Sarah and good look to us all!!!

Hiya I'm Steph, 23 from London. Mummy to Amber who was 1 last week. I've always been a chunk but finally decided to do something about when Amber was about 5 months. So far I've lost 47lbs (now 194lbs) My goal is to get to 175lbs and take it from there as I do love my curves. I'm 5ft8 so hopefully 175lbs will suit my height.

My other half is going into basic training for the Royal Marines in January and I wont see him until April so it would be pretty cool if he came back to an even slimmer me.

Right better get on with these squats!!!

Hi all, I'm Haylee. I'm 30, mother of 3 my youngest being 17 months old. I'm due to get married on the 26th May next year, one of the reasons for my shake up. I'm hoping to go back to work as a homeless persons officer the beginning of next year, finding I need something to start challenging my mind after 17 months at home. I've started my foot diary but have been waiting for a few new toys to arrive before starting my fitness properly so this is a great way to get me warmed up for it!

    Hello my luvs!

I'm Monroe (Roe) and I want a body like Jennifer Hudson  I want to lose about 35-40lbs and KEEP it off! I'm doing this challange b/c I want to push myself and go after what I want and believe in; living long, healthy and happy!
  • Hi, I'm Mallory. I'd like to lose 15-25 pounds more, depending on how I feel when I get there. I grew up playing team sports, so I'm always better about exercise when I'm following a program (or doing a challenge!) than when I'm trying to come up with new motivation every day on my own. I'm looking forward to the next 99 days!
  • Hafa Adai from here in Guam, My name is Angelica, I am 28. I am originally from Columbus, Ohio. I have two kids my daughter is 12 and my son is 9. My husband is in the US Navy and is deployed in Iraq right now. I put on weight from having the two kids, and kept it due to poor diet and then a pretty bad back injury. I am trying to lose another 25lbs before hubby gets back and tone up a bit. I don't like squats but really need to do them. I saw this group and thought it would be a good way to stay motivated to keep doing them.

Hi, I'm Stacy and I joined to lose 10-15 lbs! I am working on burning calories, but some toning will be great too! I have naturally large hips and thighs, so I figure after 100 days of this at least they'll be toned and hard like marble!

Hi I'm Mana from the UK. I was 7lbs away from my goal weight in May this year but I lapsed as I got married and moved cities. No work and no friends = comfort eating - I have gained a stone (14lbs) since the end of July - yikes!

I started a new job yesterday and got a wake up call when all my work clothes felt uncomfortably snug. I want to get back on track with my eating and start exercising so I feel and look healthier.

    Thanks for reading :)

Hi all! I am Mikki, 31 years old with three kids. I'm going to give this a try--but honestly it's a bit terrifying to me--hoping I can still get up my stairs after a couple of day! LOL

Greetings from Pittsburgh! I'm Katie, I'm 25 (almost 26...12/29) and I gained a ton of weight when I started graduate school 4 years ago. Now that I'm done with all that stress and a school psychologist, I want to get (and keep) this weight off! I'm really excited about this challenge, because my legs and butt tone up so much quicker than the rest of my body -- getting a jump start on that will help me stay motivated to work on everything else

Just shut my office door and did 20/100 .... HERE.WE.GO.

  • Hi girls uk lady here, 3 kids and desp trying to loose weight/get fit and look good on my wedding day in April 2012!

Looks like im late in joining this group but Ill start today!!!
  • Hey all!! I'm Erica-24 yrs old and I live in Florida!!! Really on this weight loss kick and needing to do it for real this time! No stopping, no excuses! I am usually self-motivated but the more motivation the better! So far I have lost 9 pounds and I am already starting to feel great! I have sooo much more to lose and I am excited to see the SEXIER me come out. I know this challenge will only help in my plan. I do not have a set work out pattern as I am extremely busy- I am finishing up grad school (Mental Health Counseling/Marriage & Family Therapy) and I graduate in April so right now I am working 40 hrs/wk at my job, then intern about 30-50 hrs (unpaid LOL) every week, and go to school!! I'm glad I do not have children at this moment in time so I can take care of me completely-though I want some someday. So I try to fit in a work out at least 30 minutes a day during the week. Anything will help I'm sure!! Glad to be on this journey. So proud of everyone!!

    Hello everyone!
I am two weeks late BUT I would love to join you guys!
Just recommitted myself to becoming active on MFP again and restart my weight loss. I have about 30-35 lbs to lose and am SOOOO ready for them to be gone.
I love the idea of squats because the last thing I want to lose when I lose this weight is my butt!

Would love to join- I know I am late! It is so hard to find challenges on here that I feel like I can do! I am 38 in a couple of days and have 3 kids (8,6,2) and work full time at a desk; this will be great because I can take small breaks all day to get the 100 in even before I go home!

     Hi Everybody,
My name is Barbie and the longer I'm on MFP the more of a fitness addict I become.

The book I'm reading now ""Younger Next Year for Women
Live Like You're 50----Strong, Fit, Sexy---Until You're 80 and Beyond" makes a good case for squats. It says "Strengthening your quads is also the best thing you can do to prevent bad knees" Strengthening your quads, the shock absorbers of your body, means you're much less likely to fall and get injured. And strengthening your quads, the biggest muscles in your body, means they will burn more calories even on"idle". So when in doubt default to quads"

 So I was very excited to find this challenge.......no I'm not going to try to catch up by doing all the squats I missed since the beginning of the month. I'll make today Day One.

Hi my name is Jessica, and even though I'm kind of late I'll give it a try. I've already done day 4. The first two days were brutal and I could barely get out of a chair!
