Animal Protein contributing to increased cases in arthritis?

Forgive me for repeating what some of you may already know. I know there are lots of other health benefits for eating a plant based diet. I was just looking for ways to relive joint pain (my knees are killing me) and I stumbled upon:
"In cultures where people eat very small quantities of animal fat and animal protein, there is a much lower incidence of all kinds of arthritis. When these people relocate to a city or country where people eat the same type of diet that we do in the United States, their incidence of arthritis increases dramatically. That is a clear indication that the westernized diet is involved in the development of arthritis. The two biggest dietary culprits seem to be animal fat and animal protein."
The article goes on to talk more about diet so I am including the link but wow.

(for the record I don't have arthritis but wow!)

Its because animal products make ur body more acidic and to 'neutralize' that it needs phosphate.. BUT phosphate and calcium are chemically bonded in your bones... so to keep ur body neutral and balanced it takes calcium from ur bones and makes them more brittle...
BAM! artheritis0 -
That's so weird because although I don't have arthritis, my joints, hips, knees, etc would ache whenever the weather changed dramatically but lately I haven't been achy at all and the weather can't make up its mind! I wonder if it's along the same lines... very interesting! Thank you!0

@health is totally correct. Your body must maintain alkalinity and meat, dairy, eggs and refined food all cause an acidic environment. Pop is one of the culprits. The phosphorous in it competes with calcium for space and if you drink a lot of pop the calcium loses. Plant based, whole foods are where it's at! It makes me so frustrated when I see those milk commercials. It does have a lot of calcium but it's poorly absorbed and because it produces acid your blood steals calcium from your bones to neutralize it. Mini rant over!0
