I have been searching for a way to be be able to regain control in my life

It is long story of how I have gotten to this point but I am so grateful to have MFP and a new support group.

I studied in the scriptures the word confidence because that is something I am lacking. I recommend you taking the time look up the references too.

Will try to figure out how to post questions about myself . I taught early morning seminary last year.....but am now a nursery leader!

    Hello Sara,

That sounds like a great study lesson. I got tired of reading the scriptures straight through and found out through the teaching manuals that we are allowed to read the scriptures daily by topic too. So I think I will take you up on your encouragement. :)

    I am in Nursery too!
  • Yes I would rather study topics than just read too. Glad I am not the only that thinks that way.

I love to jump around in the scriptures, but with the kids we read straight through so they get a sense of accomplishment. TO be able to say "I finished this" is great for them, but for me I am all into the topical study too...I LOVE reading the New Testament. I do activity days and I am called as a SUnday School teacher, but mostly just substitute unless there is a Temple Prep to teach. Then I team teach with my husband. He is fit as a fiddle and so supportive of me in my weightloss journeys. He is so cool bc he loves me fat and loves me skinny and will do anything to help me achieve my goals! I really lucked out! We got married after meeting shortly as missionaries. He was finishing his mission and I was beginning mine when we crossed paths. after he went home to Argentina we kept in touch. He came to the US after I finished my mission and we got married 3 weeks later in the Chicago Temple. I say I lucked out bc I really didn't know the man and I now realize how bad it could have been if he had been a jerk! He is a great dad, a great son (his mom lives with us) and a great husband (of course ignoring his flaws!) I would say that the Lord was REALLY mindful of me! Looking forward to hearing more about you all! Kirstyn
