Ugh... this is a hard one to type out. How is it that I can do awesome over Christmas, and do okay even on New Years, but the 2-3 days following things jump up to this?! Sodium. Right? Right?? This can't be fat gain...

Of course it can. Who am I kidding. While it doesn't make complete logical sense, today is my weigh in day and I have to log what it says. Time to get back into drinking water, time to get back into tracking calories, time to get back into exercising and treating my body the way it should be treated. Time to exercise retraint and to do things that I will be proud of at the end of the week. I know it isn't a HUGE gain, but it feels like one... and I'm trying to not beat myself up about it... and failing.

    Today is a new day....

    Weekly Success: ...
Weekly Struggle: Water, Portion control, self-doubt, negative self talk
This Week’s Personal Challenge: Drag myself back onto that wagon. Eat well and stay under calories daily. Work out at least 4 times this week. Don't stress about the work situation.

    MY PLAN FOR JAN:
    - Work out 4- 6 days a week: Rotating Wii Active 2, Jillian Michael's Fitness Ultimatum 2011, Bob Harper DVDs, Rushfit DVDs, Jillian Michael's DVDs and Carmen Electra DVDs.
    - Write Reviews of New Work Out DVDs/ Games and post them in a blog.
    - Stay under calories 29 days out of January's 31
    - Drink 8 cups of water or more a day!
    - Watch that sodium intake!
    - Buy my wedding dress and not be destroyed when I hear the size...

    OK, here I go!

    Beginning weight: 150
    Challenge goal weight: 139

I'll get back with the other particulars, but I have to say my biggest challenge is denial. I simply have to track or the weight sneaks back on me.

Nice job Stef!! You are rockin' it! And your profile pic does not look "overweight" at ALL.

I drank boat loads of water yesterday (not really... 7 cups, it just seemed like it) and this morning no budge on the scale (up or down) but I can SEE the water retention. I'm hoping the scale moves after another day with water and healthier food choices.

I'm still in my healthy BMI range, but it doesn't feel like it anymore. I suddenly feel like I have this huge disdended gut. The number on the scale really messes you up...

Thanks! I like to take flattering pictures ;) LOL. But yea, I'm still obese for another week or 2.
I do well with water but my sodium has been ridiculous lately. good luck!

Group starting weight - 191.8 lbs
    Last week weight - 190.4
    This week weight - 191.6
    Left until goal - 11.6

Back up 1.2 Boo. I've had a stressed out week, which is no excuse, but nothing I can do about it now but move forward. My plan this week is to drink LOTS of water, do Zumba 2 on the WII 4-6 days this week and alternate between No More Trouble Zones and 6 Week 6 Pack.

Sorry about the gain. I love No More Trouble Zones! It's in my top 2 favorite workout DVDs. :)

Yes! Take any victory you can! My scale is making teeny-tiny changes--I guess it is saving it all up for my big weigh-in day on Tuesday. *hopes!*

Today's weigh-in: 140 lbs - no loss, no gain from last week
    2/14 GW: 135
    Final goal: 130

A bit of a tough week, I think I was reasonably good on my eating, but not as much exercise as I would have liked - some spin and yoga, but needed more cardio. Also received bad news from the doc - might be headed for spine surgery later this year, so it may be MONTHS before I can run again

However, that makes it more important than ever to keep my diet clean & watch my calories

    Starting Weight: 218 lbs
    Challenge Goal Weight: 168 lbs

    Week 1: 214.6
    Week 2: 213.8
    Week 3: 213.8
    Week 4: 212.0
    Week 5: 210.6

    Week 9: 212.0
    Week 10:214.0
    Week 11: 221.6
    Week 12: 215.4

    This Weeks Loss: 6.2 pounds
    Total Challenge Loss: 2.6 pounds
Weight Loss Remaining to Goal: 47.4 lbs

Strengths: Lost quite a few pounds, regained control of me eaing, stuck to plan without cheating

Struggles: Didn't go to the gym (did lots of walking instead), not enough water

Goal for the week: 3500 calories through excercise, drink my water, stick to my LC plan

Well, a much better week than last week! I've been doing well with my food but have to decide what I will be doing with my diet. I will definately do low carb 5 days a week. My original plan was low carb with one cheat meal a week. I have done that this week, having my cheat meal yesterday. But I ended up going about 400 caloriies over. Of course, I would have been ok if I did a bit of exercise yesterday :-)

But I might change that to 6 days low carb, 1 day low fat. Or 5 days low carb, 2 days 100 carb allowance. Really not sure yet.... Hmmmm......

Anyway, at least I'm losing again! Good luck everyone!

    Total Challenge Loss: 30.8 lbs.

End of challenge goal weight: 155 lbs
Weight Loss Remaining to Goal: 6.2 lbs

I have decided on a new challenge goal of 155 lbs. This would be an average weekly loss of 1.5 lbs.

I bought a beautiful dress for our annual holiday party in a size 14 and if I didn't have a cesarean section pouch, I'm pretty sure I would've been able to buy a 12

My goal for this week, surprise, surprise, is exercise. Thanks to Jerseys keen eye, we got Dance, Dance Revolution over the holidays. Talk about a fun way to do cardio!

Best of luck on everyone's post holiday rebounds!

Ahhhh!!!! Specialk_flett just reminded me that I had an insane NSV this weekend!! How could I have forgotten!?!

We went shopping together and I was on the hunt for dress pants. Not knowing what size I was (as I haven't really been shopping for pants in months) I grabbed a few 10's and took them into the dressing room (I was a 14 when this all started). I tried on one of the pairs of pants and walked out of the dressing room... the waist could be pulled a TON from my hips.

    "Let's try a size 8!"

So she grabbed an 8. I tried it on. Still big. "To a 6 then!"

What!? A 6?! This can't be possible... I could never even imagine myself in a six! And guess what... too big!!

I ended up walking out of the store with brand new size FOUR (yes... like 4) pants!!! INSANE!!!!! Made my life.

Of course the next pair that I tried on and bought were an 8... so... yeah... but whatever, I still have a nice fitting pair of size 4's in my closet right now. Talk about ego boost!
