Today I am thankful that we have gotten so many members. It asked that you verify 3 people to join before making the group but I really wanted to have the support of Brothers and Sisters who had the gift of the spirit and made it anyways. So i guess I am also relieved as well as Thankful that so many of us could be together for support.
What are you Thankful for?

THat is totally exciting...more support the better! I have been a member of the Church all my life. I served a mission in Chile in 1995 and am the mother of 5 great kids. I work part time as a zumba instructor and a translator. I have struggled all my life with weight. In High school i weighed about 180 and was very active as a swimmer. In college I got down to 170 and on my mission to 160 and finally felt pretty good...after marriage I hit a whopping 270 and have lost 110 then gained 50 and lost 50 and gained 50...now I am hoping to finally overcome who I was and become who I should be and LIVE happy! I look forward to meeting you all!0

I am thankful to be able to track my intake so easily and know how much or how little I am really eating. Being accountable I think is going to make a difference.0

Today I am thankful I got some dishes done and swept my floors. I am thankful that last night my husband took the time out to make me feel special after a long night of hard work and even took some time to spend with me before work this morning.0

Today I am thankful for sweet little spirits that remind us what is important. My 5 year old daughter has been practicing all day to put on a "show" for us tonight. She got dressed in her pink princess gown and dimmed the lights for her show. She danced to "I Loved Her First." (she picked the song). My husband and I both had tears running down our cheeks. It was so sweet to watch her dance and think of how quickly she will grow into a beautiful young woman. Our Heavenly Father sends us these precious children for a reason. Some days I forget the blessing my children are but today I was reminded 100% that my Father in Heaven is mindful of what I need.0

I am thankful for a son that had his 16th birthday today and was worthy to be set apart as a Priest. I can't believe I have a 16 year old where did the time go!0

Wow How wonderful to have the priesthood in the home.
Today I am Thankful I shared my testimony. I honestly think I must of spoken with the spirit ( which is what I intended to do) because I believe what I shared really touched a lot of people. I shared with them how my last week of trying to diet with the spirits help has been with me and that it made me realize how little faith I have and that I have ever so much room to go. I keep trying to do things by myself and forget with just the a thought away a beckon a glance a hope a feeling of love I can have help and he has asked us to invite him in everything we do including dieting.
I also shared I believe sometimes that really strong people are allowed to make a sin so others may learn from it and how to recover so if you did sin not to beat yourself up for it especially if it was not life threatening. Learn your lesson, repent and let it go.
Something I need to do more of when I think I ate too much of something or just had to have that square of chocolate. If I do not let it go I stress and cram. Then I find myself in a awful cycle.
I am also Thankful I made it to church on time since I stayed up all night worrying or excited ( I could not tell which) about sharing my testimony. I had an awesome day in Nursery with two little girls who normally do like contact was practically a growth to my legs and wanted me to rub there backs to calm them while we had lesson. Leaning there little soft heads on me trying to get there chairs as close to me as they could. It was wonderful.0 -
Don't give up, it is SOOO much harder later in life, trust me. You hang in there, you obviously now the ropes to lose 110#, so we know you can do it!!0

Ha, wait until that young man suddenly is returning home from a mission. My youngest son came home in September. My youngest daughter moved out three years ago to go to BYU at the age of 17, she turns 20 next month... snif... I am either getting old, or they are using time warp drugs...0

I am so thankful today for sunshine...we have had about a week of 50 degree weather with sunshine in INDIANA...Makes me so happy to get out and walk instead of doing treadmill!!!!0

I am thankful my kids let me exercise today without being disturbed! My daughter did a fabulous job of watching her little brother while I did my workout DVD. And now I feel so much better that I got my exercise in today.0

I am thankful my family was kept safe during tornadoes last night(in Alabama). We had severe thunderstorms/lightning and rain. But luckily, the tornado passed us. The sirens went off around 3:15am and my children woke up scared. We've only lived in Alabama for 7 months (originally from UT) and are still getting used to the idea of tornadoes. I am thankful they have an understanding that we can pray for peace and comfort and our prayers can/will be answered.0

Today I am thankful that I finally had the epiphany to ask the Lord for help with my need to become healthier! It happened a few days ago, but I know that it is making all the difference. Last night my daughter was playing around and said something about going for a slushie. She then felt bad for bringing it up, but you know what...I didn't even feel tempted. My first thought was " do you know how many empty sugar calories are in that'? LOL I love my sweets but it is so much easier to resist and do moderation with the Lord on my side. Not to mention one of my visiting teachers is a certified trainer and the other is a fitness fanatic! I am so blessed!0

I am thankful for my body. It maybe out of shape and weigh a lot more than I'd like (for now), but it works and is healthy.0
