I know this may sound like a stupid question, but will sit ups cause my band to slip or anything like that?

Once you are past the healing phase, you are fine. My surgeon said there are no limits on how I exercise.0

I do crunches almost daily and other ab exercises, and so far (at almost 3 years out) no problem. Jessie43082 is right, once past healing stage, you should be able to do most anything. My doctor has the guideline.. if it hurts, don't do it. I go by the guideline.. if it hurts, keep on.. if it's pain, stop. To me there's a difference in hurting and pain. YMMV.0

Crunches are fine once your healed.
