But it will probably be like the CSI board game though; a complete waste of money. :grumble:0 -
Looks like there are some reviews in the link you posted.
Some other reviews..

I got this for my Husband for Christmas. So, obviously haven't played it, yet. But sounds like fun, since you can't "lose" the game, you turn into a Zombie and can attack the other players. Plus I read that there are limited weapons and survival supplies, so it takes some strategy to win. Sounds like fun to big geek like me!0

I have this game and I have played it quite a bit. I like it, although I would consider it more of an story-telling experience and not a true competitve game. There's still plenty of ways to screw with the other players, but you can also team up with them if you like. I play tons of board games and of the guys I play with, it's split about 50/50 on who likes and who doesn't. This version by Z-man games is based on the comic, and uses images from the graphic novels.
As someone posted earlier, www.boardgamegeek.com is a great reference database for all board games.0 -
BOARD GAME NERD ALERT
Z-Man games are AMAZING.
I say buy it. I havent yet, but that's because I own about 120 board games (well, my bf and I do, he started me on these) ...and the bf doesnt like zombies much enough to go out and buy the game.
And YES on the boardgamegeek
good site.0 -
I got this for xmas. All Ive done so far is open it up and pop parts out of their sheets.
Looks like you'll need to know the comics for the comic one. (at least the first couple hard cover books) Theres a tv show one, too.0 -
I've played the z-man games version based on the comics with several people that that have never read the comics. Being familiar with the characters and locations in the comic is not really required to enjoy the game.0

I know itd be easy to play not knowing the comics, I guess for my bf's sake Im more worried about spoilers that might transfer to the show and such0

Trying to think if I have encountered any spoilers at all and I think I haven't, but there may be some spoliers on the card art if anything, so watch for that. In a way, playing the game is like constructing an alternate universe in the same way the t.v. show kind of does.
A funny aside - I played with one guy who watches the show only. He was playing Tyrese in the game, but thought he was playing T-Dog the whole time.
Regarding Walking Dead comic spoilers, I have ruined many things (mainly character deaths) by accident by reading the Walking Dead wikis. Keep him away from those!0 -
I avoid WD comic anything online the best I can because I read the hardcovers.
My bf saw Tyrese and before he could say anything I told him who it was (Ive explained to him before who is and isnt in the comics vs who is on the show)0 -

UPDATE:
So.... We played it and had a blast. It would be more fun with more players, though. It was only us two and I lost rather quickly and then caused him to lose rather quickly afterwords.0
