BLACK TEAM WEEK 2 CHALLENGE!!!

Ok Black Team we are at WEEK2!!! Last week I asked for your suggestions for challenges and a few responded, and I loved each one. I will be using each one I received with in the 12 weeks. This week I will be taking MARULOP14, suggestion about going without SUGAR and add I will add a little more to that.

Alright so I have noticed from the posts I see that most of us have been logging in our exercises and food. That is great! Now we must stick to the last two challenges (water/10 extra mins. of exercise) into our everyday lives. So lets continue that, and add the new one in.

WEEK 2 CHALLENGE:

CUT DOWN ON SUGAR INTAKE TO HALF THE AMOUNT YOU NORMALLY HAVE IN A WEEK. EXCEPT FOR FRUITS, HAVE YOUR NORMAL SERVINGS OF FRUITS FOR EACH DAY.

CUT DOWN ON YOUR SODIUM INTAKE. REMEMBER WE DO NOT WANT TO RETAIN WATER, SO IF WE REDUCE OUR SODIUM IT WILL HELP. TRY ADDING SPICES, INSTEAD OF MORE SALT.

THE LAST PART OF THIS CHALLENGE IS TRY NOT TO EAT TOO MANY PROCESSED FOODS.

I think if we concentrate on what we put into our bodies it will make a difference in our lives.

    I'm having trouble with the sugar challenge, but I don't think it's something that I can do anything about. I've always had issues with needing sugars in order not to pass out. I'm not diabetic, nor have I ever had an issue with that but the doctor has warned me not to try to cut out sugar. So, I won't be participating in that part of the challenge. Sodium is much easier and I'm totally doing that.
  • Hey, If you can't cut out sugar completly, sometimes I feel the same way ... try to cut it back a bit, if that is something that is a problem with your nutrition. Focus on bad sugar, even potatoes turn into sugar...Sodium and Processed Foods are great to cut back/eliminate!!

  • Not that I know of... I know for canned turkey/chicken they have ones packed in water, less sodium, try to look for those? I dont eat tune so I can't help all that much Sorry!
