Since we are all part of the househol of faith :). i would like to bring some information up that i read in another post. It involves the stories of virgin births prior to the birth of our Lord and savior. Have you ever heard of any and do you know where they derived from?

None that I can think of, unless you count the Nephillm. Which the book of Genesis talks of when fallen angels were thrown out of heaven and had children with women.. And then God came and destroyed all of them.
In the case of Mary, the Holy Spirit came down and filled her.

Aww yes young padawan..lol. Yes it does involve Nephilim, Nimrod, seriramis and tummuz. In the book of Genesis God told satan that there would be enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed cursed by the woman and her seed (Gen 3:15). Now everyone knows that a woman can not carry a seed, she carries eggs and man carries the seed. So satan know that a virgin birth would take place. so what does he do? He creates stories to mimic the virgin birth of mary years before it occurs so when it does occur many will believe that a) the messiah have already came or b) its just another virgin birth (one of little importance). Once Nimrod (where pagan worship came from) , the people and the tower of babel separated and taken down. they obviousley created different cultures which in turn created their own virgin of the virgin birth. hence,:

Roman/Greek: Demeter and Persephone, Rhea and Zeus, Apollo
Egypt, virgin mother Isis begat Horus
In Phrygia, Attis was born of the virgin Nama.
A nymph bathing in a river in China is touched by a lotus plant, and the divine Fohi is born.
In Siam, a wandering sunbeam caresses a girl in her teens, and the great and wonderful deliverer, Codom, is born.
In the life of Buddha we read that he descended on his mother Maya, "in likeness as the heavenly queen, and entered her womb," and was born from her right side, to save the world."

these are just a few. I had to cut the information short so please research more if you like. many people still believe that there were many virgin births prior to christ but that is not true. christ is the only and true virgin birth :) blessings and love friends
    Hosea 4:6

There was a common belief in that time that a woman was considered a virgin before she had sex and after the first time she had sex. this is why people would bring up rape and such as a possible way to explain the "virgin" birth.
