Getting Married Soon!!!

Hey everyone!
I just wanted to tell you all that I'm 20 years old, and marrying the most amazing man in the world in a few months. I'm really nervous to tell my grandparents because their opinion means everything to me. My boyfriend, who I've been living with for almost a year now, is going to be joining the army, which is the BEST decision he could ever make for himself. He will be getting his high school diploma through a free program with the Army, and it can be a really good life for a married couple if you're willing to deal with the time apart. (Which, luckily, isn't as bad as being with a soldier unmarried)
My grandparents got married when my grandmother was just barely 17, and they have been together ever since, but I feel that they look so negatively upon my generation because of the divorce rate, yadda yadda yadda. I'm sure a lot of you are young and married. Have you ever been in a sticky situation like this? How did you tell the people you love about your decision to get married? Mind you, my parents totally support us. But still, my grandparents and I are VERY close.

I have no idea how everyone found out about our engagement. My DH asked my parents before hand though, so I think they started to spread the news before I even said yes.
  • I'm officially married! We decided to elope on my husband's 22nd birthday!
