I have cronic ibs, my gastro dr hasnt seen a case this bad. Its bad enough it keeps me from working, but now its protesting my heathier food choices. (it acts up when i fresh fruit and veg)
Right now its 7:30am. Ive been up for an hour and a half. With an hour of that being spent in the bathroom in pain. Everytime I think "Oh im ok to go to bed" the pains and everything startes again. its a sick cycle. I joke with mom that im having contractions cause the pains (sometimes) come for a few mins really bad then leave for a few mins.
I cant take any meds for it cause they either make me sicker, or dont do sh**. The only thing that seems to make a bit of diff in my ibs is OTC med call Phillips colon health. Which i didnt have in high school. In my hs you were allowed to miss up to 50days (most of which needed a dr note) in one year alone i missed over 65days they were threating to fine my mom $300 dollars a day that i missed after that.
I know its kinda nasty but the truth is since spending so much time in the bathroom i am often doing a lot of stuff on my computer (Thank god for laptops). I often tell my parents we should install a recliner, and a tv so i dont have to miss my shows...im still waiting on that. so for now dvd movies, the internet, and my stories (i write for fun) are going to have to do.
I have often said that i would love for anyone that complained about me either missing school or missing something because i was sick should deal with this for a week, Just 1week and see how they like it.

Well im going to post this cause ill just keep rambling on about stuff. lol

Perhaps you should try more of an Atkins-based diet since fruits & veggies are causing you problems. It has helped my symptoms tremendously - in addition to taking a probiotic & other meds for similar problems. Good luck!

It's different for everyone. Have you considered the possibility of overgrown candida? Check with your doctor about that.

I would also do the IgG test for antibodies in your blood to uncover food allergies/intolerances and then begin an elimination diet based on your specific info.

Never mind messing around with other stuff.... you need to get to the root cause of what is giving you pain. A Naturopathic Doctor can help you with this.
