So I always thought protein was good for you? Well I just logged in my lunch and it told me I was over it already. It tells me my goal should be 45 and I have 59 already. So I am in the whole -14
Why is it bad to consume to much protein in your diet??
Does anyone know??

Too much protein could result with kidney problems. But every diet book out there will tell you a different number of how much protein you should consume.
IMO, your protein level is fine.0 -
In my experience, women don't usually eat enough protein, especially lean protein and plant-based protein sources like nuts, beans, whole grains, and legumes. Protein is important, especially when you're working out and losing weight - you're likely doing exercises where you're actually building muscle. When building muscle, your body needs to get the protein building blocks somewhere, both to build new muscle and repair injured/damaged/broken-down muscle. Being a bit over here and there is ok. It's time to worry when you have situations where kidney function might be hampered, so it's important to keep properly hydrated, too.0

I've actually adjusted my goals in settings to permit me to eat more protein. I feel better when I eat more protein and less carbs, so I just upped my percentage of protein. Just curious, what did you eat that was so protein rich?0
